BTW, the Kong Wobbler is a ton of fun BUT, unlike most Kong products it's NOT rubber, it's plastic! There's nothing quite as annoying as when he purposely pushes it down the stairs because when it hits the hardwood floor at the bottom it's LOUD!

True. :D Still, I love it. Keeps her from breaking her teeth on iron. LOL BTW, there are those transparent balls with rubber bumpers on them nowadays - can't remember what they are called, but Myst can't break it, and it doesn't make noise.

Uh huh huh huh huh huh...

My 12 year old female boxer loves toys. She will play with almost anything we bring home to her. My 10 year old male is another story. The only thing he will play with is the tennis type balls. We even tried other balls, like the rubber ones, he will have nothing to do with them. And of course the tennis balls last all of 5 minutes before he chews a hole in them. We got the so called industrial strength "indestructible" tennis balls once. They lasted 10 minutes instead of 5.

Yep, tennis balls don't last around here either! The get de-fuzzed, broken into pieces, and then eaten!

Funny thing is, my big guy can easily hold 3 tennis balls in his mouth and it looks hilarious! One thing he LOVES though is little pink socks! I'm not kidding! Literally he never picks up any socks other than little pink ones (not bigger pink ones, not little white ones, JUST the little pink ones!) and he doesn't chew them, just soggifys them and carrys them around. To him they're cries for attention! What makes it fun though is that his mouth is so big, and the socks so small, that sometimes you don't even realize he has one. If you don't notice though he'll eventually spit enough of it out so that it shows and then the fun of fishing a soggy sock out of his mouth begins!

My Myst, the 11 yo GSD, is the same as you male.

She has never been interested in anything but balls. Tennis balls, which she loves to pop (about a min.) and slightly larger fuzzy balls with squeakers. The latter she never tears apart, we still have some of her favorite ones from her puppyhood. It's funny, she loves chasing them (well, loved, really, she's got a degenerative spinal cord condition now, and her hind end is being progressively paralyzed, so chasing things is no longer possible, poor girl :(), but as soon as the squeak happens, she starts this weird moaning noises, and handles it very gently. I've always wondered if it's some kind of .....-caring-for-puppy thing.

The best toy for her I discovered (other than food-delivery toys), was the squeaker tennis ball. Not sure who makes it - Kong maybe? - but she won't pop them because they squeak. They are just slightly larger than a regular tennis ball, but not by much. Myst still prefers the regular tennis balls - but I just don't give them to her anymore, other than a rare treat. LOL

Dogs are such characters... :D

OMG, that would *totally* freak me out. I'd be frantic about the rubber getting stuck in the intestines and forming an obstruction. I had a cat and a dog that happened to - *not* fun... Well, the cat had eaten a large rubber band, and that particular dog (a Golden with a death wish) swallowed a shoe insert whole... But I'm understandably, I think, paranoid about indedibles being eaten!

Oh, please, tell me you got some pix of that!
