Kudos to Gotvapes for the way you guys decided to handle this. And Kudos to the good folks on this board for understanding that the fault truly is with Betterlife, rather than Gotvapes. And I for one feel like in some small way, we had a hand in pressuring Chris and Danno to get these out the door assuming as I know they did, that they would be similar to the XL and 3ml Phoenix.
On a good note, the filler funnel is great. Lets one fill a tank quickly, almost completely, and will prolong the o-ring life.
BTW, will we receive an email when credit is applied to our CC's?

I'm confused after watching the video. Did Bad say that this setup would NOT rely on a vacuum? So doesn't that mean the sealing pieces used for the vacuum was not needed? LD did your beta unit rely on a vacuum?
Thought I'd point out, that of the six I have, only one has the juice hole fully open, two are partial, and three are completely closed. Even with fully opened holes, it's dry hit city.
And one other thing. I know Chris had communication with Betterlife in which he had requested that the wicks not be pulled down into the cup, and for the coil to be properly wrapped with separation. All of the ones here have the coils tightly wound with zero separation. Unlike the XL version, there is no way to fix this.

Well, imho, it's not the same - there is a very large matter of degree, for one thing. Manufacturers "tweak" things all the time - sometimes with less than desirable results... I still mourn the very first edition of the Stardust, for instance. 
But it's not like they radically changed the design - it's still basically the same carto, just with a few relatively minor (yes, "minor" is a relative term) changes. And it still works fine - I just can't take the tube off easily, for instance.
Danno can correct me, of course, if I am wrong on this, but often enough GV has nothing to do with these minor tweaks. Still, as long as it is the same structure, the same function principle, and it works, it's more or less the same product. Whether you like the changes or not, or can live with them or not, is really a subjective judgement, so I wouldn't dream of asking a vendor to return it... Surely, in a perfect world, it would be a good thing if all of these minor tweaks were accounted for on all the product pages. But in an industry that moves with lightening speed, and with so many different products, I suspect it would take a full-time job just to keep up with the web site that way - and that's assuming that the manufacturers let them know about the tweaks in the first place. And to give credit where it's due, when a significant revision of a product comes out, it is usually listed on the product page.

I'm not making it anymore than what it is. I'm actually just as flabbergasted as Dan. Why they didn't test a unit that was so delayed and they knew was being changed IS BEYOND ME. May be they didn't think it would be this drastic but that is the sole purpose of their Alpha program. This is just an extremely poor move by GotVapes. I'm just being honest. People can continue to keep being passivists, but I don't understand why. Just MHO.
OMGoodness you sure look tired...very unfortunate to have this happen, but do appreciate you taking the stand you have. I expected my package today...but it's still somewhere in Los Angeles, so I'm sure I will have it tomorrow. I will check it out and see what happens.

If you never tried the original what makes you think the modified versions performance was any different than the originals? Appearance and functionality are two different things.
I never had an original either but I am happy as can be with the version being sold now. If airiness is your only issue just cover a couple of the holes with tape. Airiness is a common complaint but a tear of tape takes care of that.
Thanks for your concern and actions w/ respect to customer satisfaction. I'm sorry this has happened to you and your business. Hopefully on the flip side of this bad coin is a good side in that your reputation as customer oriented will be strengthened drawing new customers as well as repeat business.
Well, I'll probably just buy a gift certificate with the refund, then when the raven cartos are fixed, I'll buy nine with the cert then loose the email.

As far as the Alpha Program goes, well, not EVERYONE is in the Alpha. It would sorta defeat the purpose if they were.
After everyone who was lucky enough to get their fingers on the first Raven started posting and commenting on them, if Gotvapes would have thrown those into the Alpha, OH BOY...talk about a RIOT on their hands there. GEEZ
I am a Alpha member so it would not have affected me but MAN OH MAN. there would of been some hot folks on that one after they saw the video and heard the reviews of how awesome they were. Throw in the Phoenix BC, these folks were the manufacturer of it and folks had to have these... PERIOD
up to this point, better life had showed they were perty darn good at making BC's.
So many people were standing on their heads waiting for these things to hit Gotvapes site. If Gotvapes would have put it into Alpha, now THAT would have been a "extremely poor move by Gotvapes."

In my 2+ years of vaping, I have never heard of a carto, atty or nuthin bein totally changed in the factory, without the VENDOR'S knowledge, like this has.
there is SIMPLY no comparision here and IF the FACTORY had not totally redesigned the carto, we would not even be having this discussion because the Ravens would have been the BOMB of all BOMBS.
this is by NO means Dan nor Chris's pot here. The factory messed this one up BIG TIME....
