Good Morning all! Hope you have a lovely day!
Catching up on yesterday's posts, I look into my cabinet and see sooo many juices. Yeah, i have probably spent a lot more on that than smoking, but I have so much to show for it. No dirty, smelly ashtrays either! YUCK!!! I used to toss them outside because I couldn't stand to have it in my indoor trashcan. i was a bit of a hypocrite about smoking, i believe, to some extent because I hated it, but could not bring myself to stop. When i played music for a living I didn't smoke as much, because of the voice thing. Actually, I only smoked when I was drinking (like some people). When i retired, so to speak, was when it started getting bad. I needed something to occupy my hands! i found myself putting one out and almost lighting another.
I am so THANKFUL for vaping. i may chain vape, but a lot of the reason is because it taste's so GOOD! I watched my mother die of lung cancer, for crying out loud, you would think that would've been an eye opener for me then. That was 23 years ago!
Anywho, I'm happier, healthier, and look better than i did years ago. That's proof enough that this is a successful alternative.

Yeah the dirty smelly ashtrays being gone is a plus. I had a separate can w/lid for dumping ashtrays and I have just thrown the can away because it smelled so bad. I still use my pretty crystal ashtrays on my desk for catch-all containers to hold things like wicks, drip tips, beauty rings and all that nonsense

I was a bit of a hypocrite too because I wanted to smoke but could not stand to be in a room full of smokers

Hey all, been up for a couple hours getting to know some of my AltCig flavors. I decided to roll out Snickerdoodle, Churro, and Cinnamon Danish. And...unsurprisingly they are all VERY similar. If I had to pick one cinnamon bakery flavor from the three I'd personally go with Cinnamon Danish. The cream cheese element gives it a slightly different profile. Snickerdoodle and Churro are very similar, the only difference being the level of cinnamon. I'm happy to say that none of the three are too cinnamon dominant.

I wouldn't go so far as to call AltCig gourmet, but for the price point and the great customer service I call them a SOLID choice. I don't vape gourmet flavors exclusively - to put it in context I like gourmet food too but I don't eat gourmet food for every meal. It would be too much for my palate.

I will order from AltCig again.

Vaping on my tried and true Lavender Ever After. It has to be my favorite liquid, as I keep going back to it. Ironic thing is that I ordered this last batch with extra flavor and I think it may actually be a tad too much. Good thing is that I have plenty of pg/vg to cut it with. I added a tiny bit of VG to my the Protank it was in and now it's perfect.
Another bad thing is that all this time I may have been damaging my AIV juices. I guess you're not supposed to give them hot water baths (someone mentioned they were going to use their Ultrasonic or whatever to help the steeping). I did that to all my juices up til this latch batch. This last one I left alone... So I guess with the exception of my DIY stuff, I won't be doing that anymore. It didn't seem to help anything anyway.

I picked up Lavender Ever After a few weeks ago. Been letting it sit while Call Me Vanilla comes of age. I specifically got them to vape together. I LOVE that flavor combo (thought I haven't vaped it yet) - I put Lavender and Vanilla syrups in my morning coffee most days and I refuse to pass up ANY creme brulee with lavender and vanilla notes. I don't care how full I am.

The only thing using an ultrasonic does for 0nic is mix it up. The heat helps oxidize the nicotine in a juice. I have tested this extensively with diy. I have mixed up batches of 0nic and batches of 6mg and heat steeped them at 150 degrees for 4 hours. The 0 taste just like it did before it went in. Where the 6mg taste a lot different.
Well, I was just giving it a hot water bath and what it did was warm up the VG so it could mix around better. It did do something. I'm just not convinced that the something was noticeable enough or good.
