Did I just miss a batch? If I did, how long is the wait for the next batch you think? I'm in the market for a high end mech mod and it makes me sad that whenever I find one that is really nice, they are either sold out or I just missed the last batch.

Yes the Sale took place yesterday at 1800 Greek Time ! The Lux pretty much sold out in a couple of minutes ! But most of the other stuff was available and it looks like most folks got what they were after !

Arggh. I wish I had known. I would definitely have been waiting on the computer to place an order. I think that the nemesis and the lux are one of the most beautiful mech mods.

My only gripe is an occasional "minor" seize of the lock ring. Is Noalox my only hope? Again, minor gripe, just wondering if anyone has a good fix for this? I love how it is an easy spin, don't want to lose that with grease. (So wish it was reverse thread).

-CF

No, don't do it. As u correctly opined, u'd lose that easy - finger spin to lock - with the grease.

I'd disassemble the whole mechanism, give a thorough wash with dish detergent liquid and reassemble it again. That is most likely to fix the issue. At max, after the wash I'd put a tiny, smallest of, one drop of machine oil on the threads (let me repeat: one small drop).

BTW, the Lux's lock-mechanism is NOT required to be tightened at it's ends (lock or unlock)... it's meant for just a flick:)

I'm considering using some mild Loctite on the bottom cap, I keep unscrewing it to lock it.

Please don't!
#1... Even the "mild" Locktite is pretty damn strong. You won't be removing it without pliers and a lot of force.
#2... It's not conductive.

Basically, you'd be hard pressed to come up with a better way to destroy a tube and switch.

If you're having issues with the lock ring sticking, just add a drop if machine oil to the lock ring threads and to the flat side of the lock ring.

All I did was click some pictures yesterday :)

Diver Update: Kept empty tanked since the last few days in sheer displeasure. Y'day topped it up for pictures, vaped a li'l (b'coz the bloody thing doles out good VTF), took pictures and left it atop the Lux. It remained likewise overnight. T'day morning removed the tank - lo and behold! - not a drop anywhere!

Miracle? I guess so! Or, did it need acclimatization, time to settle down? I'll be watchin' you baby...

Last built:
NR-R-NR, 30g Kanthal, 30g Nickel, 2 x 2mm Silica, Strands cut & built exactly as per Atmistique's vid. 1.2Ω.
Top-up technique:
Plugged Cartodriver, removed SnP's bottom cap, pushed the Diver down till it's air-hole was out of the tank. Loosened SnP's top cap to align its fill-holes. Syringed thru one of the fill-holes. Stopped when the juice was just touching the brim of the top-cap (yes, didn't fill it full). Pushed the Diver back inside. Now tightened the top-cap -- and then removed the Cartodriver. Kept it to to settle down for a minute - then vaped. No gurgle, no flooding, no dry-hits. Nice, clean vape!

I bought a Lux 2.5 from the classified section. I am having issues with the 18500 tube. Either its me or the 18500 tube wont accept a 18490 battery? I am using a AW IMR 18490 and even if i unscrew the center pin on the top cap to its furthest point ( before it falls out ) it wont reach the top/positive on the 18490 battery.

I am using a small magnet on top of the battery and it fits and works fine now.

This is my first GP, So that is why i am asking. Normally all my other mods that accept a 18500 will also fit a 18490.

Am i correct that the 2.5 lux 18500 tube will only work with a 18500 battery?

No, It came with 1 male pin and 1 male/female pin ( not the 2 male pins ) ..

Comes to find out the guy who sold it to me told me it was a 2.1 pin assembly AFTER i already received it..

He said that he bought the 2.5 lux BEFORE they were shipping with the new 2.5 pin assembly..

So i emailed vapourart and they cannot help me. I guess the only way is to purchased a upgraded pin assembly or start using 18500 batteries ( though all my other mods are 18490/18650 )

So not sure what i plan on doing.

So, there's a center post and a telescoping screw. What if you unscrew the center post a bit (so your atomizer still makes a connection) and also unscrew the telescoping screw a lot - does that help? You might also consider a mechanical fuse to add some height to the battery (I always use one, even though it leaves a little gap in 18350 mode).

I was thinking about a fuse i just have to grab one, The fuse might do the trick!

Since i cannot find any 18650 lux tubes anywhere, I might get a 18650 SS tube.

Are the SS tubes just as solid/strong/thick as the lux tubes? or is the metal thiner?

Thats another nice thing i like about the GP is the battery tube metal, Is thick! very solid feeling... I am just wondering if the SS is the same way?

Gauge wise they are identical... the Alu-Bronze Tube and the SS Tube.
