Hello ECF!

So I have been using Bouge 510 cartomizers @ 3.0 Ohms on my Provari for the last 3 months. I just received my next months order of e-liquid. Ordered two 30ml bottles of Virginia tobacco from BWB. Got one at 12mg, and the other at 6mg. I started @ 24mg and have been dropping 6mg a month. Last month was 12mg.

So far it has been easy dropping at this rate. But I do not plan on getting off the e-cig according to this timetable, and thus will combine the two bottles to yield a 9mg strength solution. Maybe I'll drop 3mg a month now. (I do like my vaping )

However, I noticed that the 12mg strength lasted me for only 27 days. I think I have been using slightly over 2ml a day due to the reduced strength nicotine.

At 9mg, I would like to stretch it out to a full 30 days so that my reduction is constant....

Therefore, I am looking for a way to decrease the ease of vape while @ home. I was thinking dripping onto an atomizer would work for these purposes.

I know nothing about them, and spent a few hours searching the forum to get a basic understanding.

Simple question: Which atomizer would yall recommend? As stated, I own a Provari, which has a 510 connection I believe.

So what is everything that I would need to start dripping? Drip shields? Different drip tip? Adapter? Threading extension?

Thanks for the help!

There is a bit of a learning curve involved with dripping, so don't get upset when you flood the atty, get dry hits, and maybe even pop an atty or two. We've all been there. Word of warning tho', once you get the hang of it you will be hard pressed to find anything else that vapes as well.

This is how I set up my atty

Hey, you are doing really well at lowering your nic level. Congrats! I've been working on that, as well. Started at 24 mg and am now using 6 and 0, alternating and sometimes mixing the two strengths. I also mostly use cartomizers but recently began dripping when at home. So, I'm interested in the tips presented here, as well.

So far, I've only used 510 joyetech atomizers. My first one lasted about 4 hours, 2nd lasted about 3 days. I'm on my 4th day with another and beginning to sweat. ;) I use VG only juices, though. I guess that is a bit harder on them.

I've been using and love the Hybrid 501/306 atomizers from Got Vapes. They soooo blow
away my 510s. I use them on an eGo Twist.

I'm not sure that you would use less niquid in an atomizer. Maybe. I tend to hit my atties
with back to back hits. Two or three drops every few minutes adds up quickly.

My progression went like this: Blu disposables; eGo 650 mah with carts; eGo-T original; eGo 1000mah with cartos; direct dripping. Once I found dripping, the only time I now use cartos is while driving or whenever dripping isn't easy. I've never found a carto that delivers the goods as well as simple dripping...and I've tried every carto known to man. Some come close, but none are equal. If you really want to fully savor the flavor and vapor of your juice, dripping is the only way.

Got Vapes has those new shorties clearos that hold .7 ml - about 15 drops or so.

I'm going to give them a try cuz they are supposedly a lot like dripping. The filler
is real loose and it's not the same thing that is in the clearos. Could be real handy
for some things - like trying a new joose to see if it needs some steepage.

The phoenix rebuildable holds the same, and you'll save more in the long run making your own coils.

I'm sure that's true, but my time is worth money, too. But even more so, they do me no good
if they are in the trash, and that's where they might end up considering the amount of patience
I have. I'd love to rebuild, but I'm thinking it's not gonna happen.

I respect that. To each his own. For me vaping is the only hobby I have so fiddling is fun sometimes. If bogegate didn't happen I probably still be using them most of the time. It's sad though because I got a couple nice Phiniacs and a Bella.

Oh, it's a hobby for me, too, as well as a habit. Turns out, I love it more than smoking because of
the hobby aspect. And I truly wish I could do the rebuild thing. Truth is, I don't know if I can cuz
    I haven't tried it.

I think the day will come when I will decide to give it a shot. What I need to do is find an affordable
set up that won't frustrate me cuz of price if I decide it's not for me. It would have to be a setup
that I can buy the heads for in case my attempt at rebuilding wasn't a good fit for me.

Then again, I have to go back to the money thing. I can buy a really good atomizer for 6 or 7 dollars
that will last quite a while. So if I have to spend time building a new one, that's time I can be using
to make money. Of course, that doesn't factor in the hobby part - meaning, the fun part. Right?
