Grand/Mini better connection mod.

I asked Rob specifically about that and he said it would work fine. I have been using it for a few months.

Looks like that will do. I found this in their catalogue:

So today I bought the Ox-Gard, put a dab on paper & shaved some pencil innards for graphite then mixed it all up

then took the spring connector off, and put the ox-gard between the body and the base of the spring.
was that the correct thing to do?

I had a bit extra so I just smashed some ontop of the base of the spring as well
and I took the top connection thing apart and spread a little on the firing pin flap

This is more specific to the REO mini and Grand. There is a metal tab that is pushed down by the button that makes contact with the positive end of the battery. It is here that the Noalox prohibits oxidation and corrosion, keeping good conductivity. It is not necessary to use it, however, many have found it better to use it than not.
Here is a picture of what I'm talking about....up in the right hand corner of the inside of the mod.

No need to put above the tab, but on the end is good. If that is uncomfortable, you can put a dot of it on the positive end of your battery. It does not need much at all.

That is where you want it that little tip that touches the battery. You can put it direct on the battery top too if ya want!

Whoa, I was thinking about picking a tube up because people had suggested that I Noalox my new GLV to make the threading better. I had no idea it could also improve conductivity. Thanks for the tip!

I used a small dab, and the bottle was like $6

im gonna use more when/if I have to work on the motorcycle wires in the future too =)

Bottom of the metal mods. It holds the spring in place. It's an allen screw in the earlier models.

Debb it's on the very bottom exterior of the Mod, unscrew it with the very small Allen wrench and it will allow you to lift up the spring plate, just a dab of noalox there and then re tighten screw, make sure you use the proper Allen wrench or you will strip it. Also the other place to put the naolox is up top on the inside where the button pushes down the small metal tab that makes contact with the Batt, just a small dab in between the button and tab and a small dab on the metal tab is also OK.
