What ohms are you using and what voltage are you using. For the non VV batteries most if not all are 3.7 volts and you should be using a 1.8-2.4 ohm CE. Here is a chart that I post a whole lot. P2seQ.jpgView attachment Copy of vap watts calc v3.xlsx
The spread sheet will do the calc for you if you would like to use it.
Hope this helps but you did not give much info. A pic or details would help. Type of cleao, ohms and voltage would help. Also the PG VG ratio. OH almost forgot try laying it on it's side a bit.

good thing is the vendor, who actually doe not warranty them, despite it only being in my possession less than 8 hours now, said just let her know on my next order and she will toss in another one when she ships my next order out.

still, im not honestly impressed so far with 1 our of two being crap. still though ive read this happens a lot with these things.

For me, I like cartos tanks (sometimes called DCT or dual coil tanks. I don't like dual coils much, so I use single coil cartos in them). Holds a lot of juice, doesn't leak, easy to top off when needed and with good cartos like Ikenvape Platinum or Boge...it's a great vape.

And you can see how much juice you have.

Fourthrok is right. I was beside myself trying to find a suitable delivery system. I had nothing but rotten luck with anything clearo, be it Stardust, CE4's, or even the "hallowed" Vision ViVi Nova. Those were good... for about a day or two.

Look into getting a carto tank. They're popping up everywhere. Once you figure out how to properly prime a carto and use the tank to keep it wet, you might be amazed at the flavor and vape cloud production you'll get.

I've used Stardusts from gotvapes for about seven months, first the regulars and now the rebuildables. I have novas and kangers, but I use the Stardusts almost exclusively. I love them. If I get a burnt taste on a draw, I tip my PV so the liquid runs toward the drip tip and the next draw is great. Also, loosening the drip tip a bit can sometimes make a big difference. I've never had one that was unusable out of the hundred or so I've used. I like the draw on them, the flavor is the best for me out of all the options I've tried, and the only time I've had leakage is when I haven't screwed the drip tip in all the way, which is user error. You might want to try playing around with the drip tip, loosening it a bit and vaping to see if that makes a difference.

I always let a new one sit for a couple of minutes when I first fill it so it has time to wick up the liquid, then I take a few primer puffs on the lowest voltage. After that, it's golden for me. With other cartos and clearos, once I get the burnt taste I can never get a good tasting vape off it again. With the Stardust, that's not true. I can get a burnt tasting draw, tip the LED end up then back down and have great vapes again as if the burnt taste never happened.

ive tried some of the suggestions here and gotten odd results. Shaking it, turnign on its side, loosening the cap. they do produce effective results. But only for one vape. if i dont let it sit for like an hour after that one vape it tastes burnt again.

Now if i was using 100% VG i could maybe see the reason for this, but im using a 70/30 mix of pg/vg. its almost as if the wick is not soaking it up, though the wick is clearly soaked and there is plenty of liquid in the container.

i do sort of wonder if that silicone cap is pinching the wick somehow and not allowing enough juice into the atomizer portion.

as a +1 cor these clearo's the other one i got with my order is amazing.

I've been using Vision Ego's, short wick 1.6 ohm on 3.7 volt devices for most of this year with great results. I recently bought some off-brand copies with the same ohm rating as the OP and had the same experience - nasty burnt taste after the initial couple puffs, and the same after that no matter how long I soaked it. I fluffed the wicks and tried trimming the cap to improve wicking, but it didn't help at all. I'm pretty sure that the coil is either wound too tightly or is uneven with a hot spot causing the burn. I haven't found a way to make these crappy ones work.

These look like regular Ego Visions but there are two noticeable differences - the center tube is a duller gray finish versus the shiny stainless finish, and the wicks are about 1/4" long on each side - longer than the short wick v1 and shorter than the long wick v2. If you have these, I'd suggest getting the real Vision Ego's, which even at 1.6 ohms run well for me with most any liquid for a few weeks.

That might be the problem. When you screwed your drip tip on, it might have pushed the clear plastic cap down and cut off the access to the wick. I would try emptying the liquid back into your bottle, unscrewing the bottom and then pulling the plastic cap up a little before you try again.

When I've taken them apart the coil is always wrapped super tightly around the wick. I could easily see it choking off. Wick is always singed too and I never run em that hot (4.2v max usually).

I've found with most of the replacement heads on these clearos that they don't meter the same as what they were sold as. 2.4Ω reading 3Ω.

Quality Control seems to be nonexistent with some of them (if not all).
