Great Results Using High Resistance

I thought I'd share some great results I got from something I tried for the first time. I'm sure many people must know this?

I had been following tutorials that said for best results with RDAs you should use 28 Gauge wire and wrap micro coils about 12 times around 20 Gauge needles. This created approximately 1.6 ohm coils. I got a ton of vapor, but little to no flavor and a very cool vapor. I use 3.7 - 3.8 volts, or otherwise I got a burnt taste.

Instead I wrapped 30 Gauge wire 16 times around a 20 Gauge needle. This put the ohms on the coil at 3.8. When I then pumped the volts on my Vamo to 5.2 volts I got the same amount of vapor, but it is a warmer vape and the flavor explodes!

I did this using a Vamo V3 and Igo L RDA if anyone is interested. The results were just so amazing I thought I'd share :)

Next I want to wrap 2 high resistance coils on a Trident!

What gets you vapor is the power (Wattage) you are getting on a particular coil. Less surface area (higher gauge wire/less wraps) will get you a warmer vape than more surface (lower gauge/more wraps) if you are getting the same wattage. When you have a regulated device that can force a voltage other than what the battery provides or a wattage you are forcing a certain amount of power onto a certain amount of coil, the more coil the cooler the vape. Wicking is also extremely important, if your wick isn't functioning properly everything will suffer.
