Puffing away on my new Protege now...

Had to run my SB at 3.7v all day long so I didn't overpower my senses at 6v, otherwise the Protege would not have satisfied me.

Damn this thing is awesome. So awesome that now my VAPRE51 is heading to the for sale forum.

Perfect size, weight, and performance.

I could not be happier. Ok, I could if it had sick green LEDs on it (hint, hint Steve), but aside from that, I am a happy vaper today!

Ok Bandit, I know you're used to 5v, but how do you think the 510 Protege hits compared to standard 510 batts during that 15 minutes when they're fully charged. ;-)

Also, your photos are great! Given your practiced eye, what do you think, does the Protege look best with a black or stainless 510 atty?

Now that it's here, and the batt has charged, I'm wishing I would have gone with the 901 instead of the 510. My juice is just as flavorless as it got with the Prodigy. Don't get me wrong, they're both great machines, but I'm back to the 901 SD for flavor. Will have to get a different connector.

Yeah, I love the 901 with it. I ordered the 510 kit but haven't tried it yet for fear I'll be disappointed. The 901 just tastes so great !!! I kept hearing such good things about the 510 that I wanted to try it.... and I will someday. Think I'll save it just in case I get bored one day.

Just goes to show, everybody has different like and dislikes. I tried the 801 on another device and found it too airy, cool and flavorless. Everyone else raves about it.

Yup no flavor at all out of my 801 prodigy. Ordered 2 BE112 attys today in hopes that fixes that problem.

While I prefer 5v and 6v for throat hit, I start my day and end it with 3.7v now to avoid sore throats. I also needed something SMALL to take out and about so that I didn't have to go back to a regular e-cig for those times. Sometimes the SB or Prodigy were too large for every occasion. I initially bought the VAPRE51 for this reason but with it only taking a 201 or 801, it was far too long.

This thing is perfect, been hitting it all day long. Great flavor (if you're not getting flavor from a 510, clean or blow out the atty... this thing is very, very flavorful), and a vapor production/throat hit to rival the SB when the SB is running at 3.7v.

I am in love with the size, weight and construction. IMO it is the single best 3.7v option available. You get a good hitter from a tiny package, and that's what I really wanted. For a while I thought I was asking for too much... now I know it can be done.

I personally prefer the look with a silver or titanium colored atty myself over the black.

Thanks Bandit. Just what I wanted to hear. I love my 510 but the standard batts just suck. Switching batts once or twice a day will be a pure joy! If it produces a little better, that would just be a nice bonus

I got a VAPRE51 also, but got the 510 adapter and milled it so it fits well. But the adapter adds a lot to the length, looks kinda crappy on there, is clunky to use, and the 10440 batts seem to drop off pretty fast. I will say that properly adjusted it makes a 201 atty rock if you don't mind the size. I may keep it to use in the morning at home when I want something extra or just sell it.
