Just recieved the GreenCig deluxe pac from Drew Saturday.
I charged my first battery in the PCC for like 6hrs and then the LED on the case (which started out green) began to switch from green to off to red to green. I assumed it was done at this point but the instructions say the green light will go off.
Battery 2 I let charge overnight but it still has a solid green LED on the case.
I am using batt 2 right now and it seems ok so far and have the first battery charging. All above is with it conected to my USB port.
By the way batt one lasted for the entire 1st cart, like it says it will.

Does this seem normal? What does your case do?

Thanks
Paul

Update:
Battery 2 was flashing me after about 8 cigs worth of vaping and vaper production was down to near zero. I waited for about 30-40 sec and tried again, same result with no vapor.

Put in batt 1 which hadnt finished charging ( green lite still on) and all seemed normal.

Bad battery maybe??

edit: Just noticed something: battery 2 has been charging with the green light on (the one on the battery). I took it out and put batt 1 on it...same thing, switched back and forth a few times and bat 2 is now in with this light out. Just switched them a few more times and bat 1 light stays on but batt 2 light stays off....dont know what to make of this.

I don't have a PCC, just the USB charger unit that you can pop into a wall socket adapter that comes with it.

I haven't had any issues so far with either my GS battery or the KR808 manual ones I've been using lately. I DID however have both a GS as well as an 808 shorty (both automatic batteries) die at almost the exact same time. The only thing I could think of was a faulty GS cart (had a bad batch, only 1 out of 4 worked) shorted out the batteries from a leak. I've since started doing refills, and switched almost exclusively to the KR808 Mega manual batteries as a result. The manuals are sealed as opposed to the auto ones which are open, and doing refills it pays to have a sealed batt just in case a leak happens.

If you haven't done any refilling, or really drooled into the cart, the only thing I can think of is either just a bad battery or a faulty cart caused a short. The good news is the local shop here where I bought my starter kit was more than happy to replace the GS battery for me.

I hadnt used any refilled ones on that battery at the time, I just emptied my second cart a few minutes ago. I am trying to use up some of the new carts so I could get rid of what I first thought was not too good tasting western juice they came with. The funny thing is I am starting to like the taste now lol.
I am begining to think bat 2 when I charged it the first time had the led on the end of it stay lit reducing the amount or voltage left to actally charge the battery. Batt 2 has been charging for a while now, light off, I will see how it goes.

Good point on the manual batts tho, I have a 510 with them and I like.
Have to see if there are short manuals to use for this so I maybe could use the PCC with them?

Thanks for your help :)

Ok, its 3:40am (I am up for work) and battery 2 is still in the charging case with the cases green light still on continuously. Battery and case have been plugged into the USB port for about 9hrs now.

To review: 1st charging of battery 2 before use at all yielded the same result as above with very poor battery life. Battery one has been holding up pretty good despite only being charged fully once (I think, and I say that because the case lights are not doing what the instructions say).
I have no other way to charge these, this is what comes in this kit.

I was going to take the case with battery 1 with me to work with me but batt1 started flashing like it wanted to be charged so I put it in the case and the light at the end of the batt is on steady. Cant emagine this to be correct as well ????? Paid extra to have this sweet case and to try a carto setup but the KR808-d is sounding pretty good right now. :(

O well, I really like the GreenCig despite this. I will contact Drew he will know what to do.

I have a G300 kit with the PCC. My experience is that the light on the PCC stays green while a battery is in, no matter the charge state. My batteries tip goes from bright green to barely glowing once they are charged. The PCC light flashes red/green with no battery in, but stays red when it needs a charge. I hope this helps. I know I was confused by this behavior as well, because I started out with V4L and a 510, and those cases don't act anything like this. All in all, if you like carts, this will probably be the only kit you need, especially after you learn to reload them with Drews flavors. I'm having some Octane right now...and enjoying the hell out of it!

I talked to Drew on the Phone today and he went over everything with me. Some of which you have stated above, Thanks

On of my batts may be bad but dont know yet. Now that he cleared up my confusion over the lights I will see how it goes. If I do have a bad one he will take care of replacing it.

Drew stands behind what he sells, and I look forward to doing business with him in the future. :)

Question for you ToyTaco, I like the taste of the stock carts, but just a little bit harsh to me. I used to smoke ultralights.
Any recommendations for a tobacco type juice that has good flavor through the GreenCig carts?
Thanks
Paul

I had the same problem with the original carts. I smoked Reds and Camel non-filters, so if I think its a little harsh.....

What I am learning is that by sticking with any of Drews HV line, I'm not cleaning carts as much, and avoiding the kinda burnt taste. The burnt taste is not the cart with these, but the juice "leftovers" kinda stuck to the atty. Drew lowered the nic level in the HV juices and that helps get rid of that problem.

I'm trying out his new Octane tobacco flavors right now (literaly got it 3 hours ago). Lots of vapor, and the closest I've come to having the real taste yet. So far the Signature Tobacco is awsome. The octane stuff tastes great, but the nicotine may be a bit strong for an ultralight smoker. I don't know how well it would cut with VG to water it down. Drew would be the man to ask about that or if lighter versions will be made.

Best advice on flavors would be get some samplers and see what you like. It's real hard to say whats best because the only tobacco flavor Drew has that I didn't love (let the flaming begin) was RY4. The RY4 is an ok flavor, and I do still vape it, it's just a little too sweet for my likes, but then again I like the pear lung juice and french vanilla. Point being, RY4 is a beloved flavor on this forum, but didn't work for me.

Sorry about the length, and I'm not sure I really answered any of your questions, but the taste thing is very subjective and hard to describe sometimes.

Yep what Drew told you is true.
I had problems understanding the lights as well till Drew and a few others helped me.

Heres what I know.
Don't pay much attention to the lights.

You may also get a battery that lights the green LED up at the battery end when you screw it into the the PCC: don't worry alls well. You MAY get it to turn off if you take it out and put it back in.

One thing I noticed tonight which may or may not be true: When you first put a battery in you get a solid green light on the PCC, now I believe when its done charging the battery this light flickers a bit. I think this is true because Ive noticed that on my 510 wall charger.

Hope this helps

Sounds to me like it's a fault in the manufacturing that GreenTech decided to live with. I'm sure no one at GreenTech said "Hey...let's fake out our customers by messing with the LEDs on the PCC!"

Drew told me to ignore the lights also (great guy...we talked for a good bit on the phone)...I find that most of the time PCCs that are produced in China don't do a good job of showing the user when a battery is done charging. I have 4 PCCs (for blu, Volcano Magma (510), KR808D-1, and GreenCig) and only one of them actually works as it was intended.

All around it's a really nice product though...It draws almost exactly like an analog and it's really light weight so I can almost dangle it from my lips like I would a real cig. Even in your hands it feels like the real thing. I'm thinking that the only thing that keeps this sucker from being the de facto ecig is the price of carts..which I don't really care about...but for a lot of people...they want cheap carts.

I'm def eyeing up that GreenTech e-Cigar ;)
