The taste is what gets me when I've smoked a cigarette since I started vaping. I occasionally have one when I don't have any juice or if my battery is dead. Never make it past half. When I used to Vape ego ( before mod) I would lose my whole Vape after a couple months and start smoking cigs again and then switch back. Now that I have such a hobby, I would go buy another mod immediately if something happened to the three I have.

I had one cig about a week after I started (dead ego batt) - tasted bad. I had another about 2 weeks in (dry tank) - and it was worse. Rather than considering smoking again, I've learned to carry backup batteries, juice, tanks, and coils.

Backups for your backups... At the bottom of the pile of backups is either cold turkey or cigarettes.

I've started smoking several times (mostly stress related). The first puff off the cigarette is always the best, after that it just gets nasty.

I had a cigarette a few months ago after only vaping for over 6 months. I was hammered and bummed a few drags off a buddies cigarette... I tasted it all day the next day and couldn't get the smell out of my nose. Never again! I may try a cigar some time, but it will probably be a while :)

I've been vaping for only 4 1/4 months, and about 3 months ago I smoked about half a tobacco cig. It didn't taste bad or make me want to toss it, I just saw no reason to re-light it after it went out. I do have craves for one again once in a while, but just a quickly fading thought. I am very happy vaping, I know it's better for my body than smoking tobacco cigs, and I still get my nic fix somewhere in the 18-20mg area. I have tried vaping 10mg juice only, but I have found that I 'chain-vape' then.

Once i finally get this big juice order im hoping to quit for good. I cant really vape gow i want to when im spending $25 for 30ml and the shop is 20mins away which aint bad when the weather is ok, but lately its been snowing non stop and me and my car dont like the snow.

Anyway, they were really good. I could really taste them like I hadn't for nearly 40 years. I knew then and there that I could never do that again. Just too much temptation. That was over 2 years ago and those were my last cigarettes.

Thank you for that admission Grimwald. Because I think I'm the same way at 6 months into vaping. It certainly would be easier to just go back to going across the street and buying a pack of Marlboros after work. But after 6 months I am feeling the health benefits of not smoking and enjoying the new flavors. I have no doubt though that I'm still addicted to nicotine, I always kind of knew I would be. I tried it all to quit, even hypnosis and it didn't work.

This is where I say, "Hello, I'm Gerry, and I'm a nicotine addict."

So this is where I am now and I like it. This forum has been so helpful, thank you for being here, and thank you for not smoking.

Buy your juice online dude, it's the key.Once you get started, you'll find yourself checking your stash and thinking, "OK, I'm going to need more juice next week so I better shop." The shopping becomes the addiction at home....google and ECF are your friend. Once you get a rotation going you will find that 25 bucks will get you a loooong way. Ok that's how I do it, good luck to you.

    Welcome chewster!

As a previous smokeless user, I've not used since I quit 1/4/15 but think about it daily. I wish I was like those who get repulsed when they reuse because after quitting before and reusing once I returned to my normal usage. I know to permanently quit I cannot ever use again.

On the other hand, I can do a (good) cigar easily now and then and never have an urge to return to smokeless, which is a good thing :)

I originally weaned myself off cigarettes in a week of starting vaping. I goofed one day about a month ago, forgot to take my ego with me and bought a pack of cigs. It's taken me about a month to get back down to one cig a day. I guess I like the tobacco flavor too much. I'm going to try the better naturally extracted tobacco flavors.

Now, wait a minute. A dual user that doesn't like the taste of cigarrettes is just the story this thread is dying for! I know I'm interested.

Oh jezzz ... I can't imagine you coming back to this reply but

After I started vaping full time I had a condition show up called BMS (burning mouth syndrome) Since there are no "numbing" factors in e-liquid sometimes it hurts too bad to vape :(

And before anyone asks, yes ... I spent over a year with doctors & dentist's searching for relief, it's a complicated condition with very little to be done for it other than pain management.
