What made you switch to vaping?

I am trying to quit because of my 8mo boy. Long time smoker but willing to do anything to help him out in the long run.

Keep at it. Not everybody stops the first day or even first week. Took me six weeks to stop all smoking. I cut way, way back right off but finding the vape that works for you, personally, can take some of us time. But six weeks in, the last, lonely pack ran out and I just never bought another. That was 20 months ago. After thirty years it's over. I can no longer even imagine going back.

I had given up on ever being a non-smoker. I had tried and failed with every attempt during my 40 some years smoking. I saw a coupon and decided to get a kit because I thought it would save a tiny bit of money. Who knew that before long, I would prefer vaping over smoking. Been a year and a half and I am still loving vaping. I almost think I am more addicted to it than I was smoking. Of courses it could have something to do with the wonderful people I have met through ecf.

Heh. Yah, I don't know I could ever shake nicotine (it's got quite a hold on me). But the house smells minty now instead of "fresh forrest fire".

Also, I can take the trash out without getting winded...

I wanted elective surgery and I knew I would have to quit for a while. I should mention that I'm 63 and have smoked since I was a teenager! A neighbor had recently switched and he showed me his setup and helped me order my first one. It took me all of four days to get to that last one, which I stubbed out in disgust. It's been ten months and I still can't believe I am free of those horrible things.
