I've been having some fun experimenting with new ideas this month and have posted a bunch of special edition holsters which are now available for sale on the "Specials" page at SerenityGear.com. Here's a little preview of some of the holsters that have just been added:

These are all one-of-a-kind holsters and will be removed from the site as they sell.

I've also added some new stamp options in the Gallery including a wolf head, rhino, smoking' aces, and some others.

In addition, I've posted a new "Drop" style holster which will be a regular item. These holsters are very similar to my open-top holsters, but hang much lower on the belt and include a heavy-duty snap so that can go onto or off of your belt without removing it. There is also an option to add a security band, as shown on the Buzz holster at left in the photo, in case you are concerned about your tank system or oversize cartomizers sticking out, away from the holster as you move.

The three drop holsters shown above are also available for sale on the Specials page for $19.95 each. The regular price for drop holsters will be $29.95, with or without the security band.

As always, prices include USPS First Class shipping, in a sturdy box, within the US.

Really nice craftsmanship Griff! I just received my Buzz Pro this week and going mobile with it - well, need to figure that out. I really like the Special Edition open top holster, but I need to figure out if/how I can adapt this to hang from a heavy duty ring on the handle of my purse. Is it possible to attach a key chain ring and/or a lobster claw spring snap hook to this holster since I think this one has the clip to attach to a belt, on the back? I don't need the clip (don't wear a belt :)) but I really like the flap that tucks through the loop on the front for easy removal but secure while on the go.

I've been using my BuzzPro with Tim's holster for a few months now. I have attached the holster clip onto a ring very nicely more than once, tho I clip it to my pocket or belt most times.

I have been thinking about adding an option for either a "D" ring attachment that could be used with a lanyard or a carabiner, or some sort of swivel clasp - I'll have to see whats available the next time that I visit my supplier for leather. I believe they are getting in a number of new styles of clasps soon.

Hey all! YAY! I see the REO mini woodvil holders now! Do they come in the lanyard style? Didn't see that option on the site but maybe didn't look close enough.

Also, wanted to share something that works really well. I noticed that there were some comments about the lanyard kinda sitting away from you when you're wearing it. That happened with my REO Grand and regular minis and I just changed the way that I wear the lanyard, took care of that problem and it actually hugs close to my body now.

Instead of wearing the knot of the lanyard at the back of my neck like you would a necklace clasp, wear it with the knot against the holder. You do that by pulling the lanyard cord from the inside and that pulls the knot up against the back of the holder and the lanyard cord is coming UP out of the holder instead of from the back of the holder.

Make sense? By doing it that way, it actually tilts the holder back towards you instead of away from you. :)

Now, about the lanyard holder for the REO mini woodvil, we got those?

Is it possible to place an order for a "custom version" of the Special Edition open top holster with just a small, sturdy loop sewn across the back of the holster straps so I can then add my own key ring/lobster clasp? (I'm choosy on these two things and already have a set up I could use). If so, I'd really like to order one - so nice! Thanks for the reply :)

I think understand what you're saying but perhaps the difference is tube mods vs box mods especially with a tank on the tube it changes the whole center of gravity which is when it tips forward. Plus I should have ordered for the extended cap Provari which would probably have helped somewhat. I think Tim is working on a solution for that. :)

Oh thank goodness, was in a hurry when I posted that. :)

I have one of the early release lanyards for the REO mini, it was probably the first one made and it is still as gorgeous as it was the day I received it. I'd never change it or trade it up, however I read here that some were stating that the tipping was an issue and I also noticed that with mine. But pulling the slip knot all the way tight and then instead of having the cord come up through the back holes, pull the cord up from inside of the holder and the knot rest on the back of the holder.

This way, the cord goes back towards you instead of away and took care of the tipping forward when wearing it.
