This is just silly. The ONLY true complaint about a ProTank has to be addressed to the Coil Heads. Everything else is just an e-liquid holder.

I guess if you are a slap in and go Vaper, the ProTank can be an issue.(As well as the Evod, PT-mini, T3s series) If you have gotten comfortable with the occasional wick quirks, they are a breeze to maintain and use.
I only say this because I have used Kanger tanks for the better part of a year on a daily basis. They are my workplace go to tanks.
Is there better............OMG Yes, but not in a Clearo as far as I am concerned. They all have the same basic design and can fall to the same complaints from various users.:)

A lot of the complaints are around the placement and size of the air flow holes, too. But, seeing as how the heads are THE most important part of the ProTank, and if the quality of them has gone in the toilet, holding off from recommending them is probably a good idea, if and until the quality resumes, or the buyer is willing to rebuild them to work right, or drill the body to improve airflow.

Also, you're in the same boat I might be in - our gear is older - most of the complaints are regarding newly bought gear. It could also be that clones are being sold as authentic Kangers - which is another reason to warn people if they buy them.

That's not what he said. He said the NEW ones being sold have issues, not ALL of them.

i know, which is why i was being sarcastic. damn you no internet default sarcasm font! but when all of the products are coming from china, can you really expect quality control? especially with an ever increasing demand?
i'm a huge fan of my 3 minis and pt2 which i finally got working today due to an apparent coil issue.

Since the stock coils on ProTanks are so hit-and-miss, I never even use them; I immediately remove the stock wick and coil and rebuild with a cotton microcoil ... nothing wrong with the ProTanks that a good rebuild can't fix! I actually prefer the original ProTanks. I have four of them in rotation, all with CMCs in them, and they vape great all the way to the end of the tank. :D

The best sub $30 clearo is the Aspire BDC given working coils. A rebuilt PT is more inline with an Aspire.

Saw the Grimm video this morning and what I do? Go out and buy a PT3 @ my local B&M this afternoon LOL. I wanted a glass tank due to having a Cinnamon craving lately. Got it home and it would not work with the first head I installed. Serves me right I thought for being a contrarian. Put another head on and it works great! Thick and delicious cool vape compared to my top feeder.

Glad I took the gamble :vapor:

I have three EVODs and a ProTank II, all bought since October, two of them with replaced coils (bought in December). No bad coils. The EVODs leak a bit, but perfectly manageably, the ProTank gurgles but doesn't leak.
I have a T3S that leaked badly, so I doubled the silicone gasket and it's good.

I also have an Esmart that leaks like a sieve, an Ego V3 that's stopped working and a couple of Nanos that are fair to middling.

Certainly in my experience, the EVOD and ProTank II, even recently bought, are among the best of the best, certainly at their price.

Actually, he condemned the Innokin and Aspire clearos too - his real point is that a lot of people (newbies?) are having problems with clearos and Kanger, Innokin et al need to do something about it - can't say I disagree :)

There's been a lot of posts here and on Reddit about that exact issue - something is going on with the heads for Kanger, it's obvious. People are either getting clones, or Kanger has down something to degrade their performance. That's not saying the tanks themselves can't work great, but like GrimmGreen said in the video, it's hard to make recommendations for them now, because of the spotty performance of the heads.

ECF is all about spreading information, this is the exact kind of thing that should be discussed, to save people from getting something that doesn't work as advertised, or work well, and makes them go back to cigs.

Most Protank issues can be attributed to a PEBKAC error. Nothing more, nothing less.

I think you're probably right but that's maybe an indicator that Kanger and co. need to up their game in terms of quality control on heads and in better documentation to help the ever-increasing amount of new vapers that gravitate towards Kanger (and Innokin etc.) products.
