 .. I guess I got out of the Protank game at the right time. I still use, and love my mini's but I am looking to get rid of the larger glassomizers, not because anything was wrong with them, its just that I prefer rta/rba's over them, so they are not getting used anymore.

It doesn't surprise me that Kanger may be having some quality issues right now. This is almost a guarantee when high demand begins to stress a manufacturers ability to supply. In this way, great success can become a problem for any manufacturer. I still believe in Kangertech because I know what they are capable of in terms of quality and design, and I still say the best cig a like vaporizer, and bottom coil cartomizer ever came from Kanger.

What Kanger needs to do, is the one thing they are afraid to do now, which is take a chill, lay back in the cut for a moment, and stop trying to keep up with the Jone's because this need to "keep up" with the competition is threatening their reputation.

Actually, he complained about the Aspire heads too - there's two issues at work - quality control is lacking on replacement heads (many vapers here are used to stock heads being hit-and-miss which is why they build their own) and support/information - watch a number of pbursado videos and you'll see him adjust the airflow on a topper he's using - he might mention it and he might not, the point being that newbies don't understand why, when they screw a ProTank all the way down on their brand new ProVari why they can't get a draw through it - they don't know that most of the air comes through the bottom pin and they've just squished it.

That's why I said "granted, I've never ordered replacement coils". The issues with PT's aren't just coils... They just don't work as well as the Aspires. Given working stock coils in each device the Aspire is better.

I think the problem is simple go on any ecig forum for last few months and it's protank this evod that I'm not complaining use evods myself but all the new people turning to vaping read all this and I think demand is outstripping production so kanger et al are using other sources to keep up.

And 2 weeks after they came out you couldn't GIVE AWAY a brand new vivi nova kit. Which was of course, the *darling* of the vaping community before this.

It's like fashion. Make short skirts the rage one year, then next season make them long....taht way everyone needs to replace their wardrobe. :) and that my friends is how to make $$$$.

LMAO I bought the PT1 BECAUSE I never managed to get a decent vape out of my 3 vivi nova tanks without massive leaking. 3 vivis in the vapocalypse box now.

I can't comment since I haven't used the Aspire, but as previously mentioned, Grimmgreen's criticism was of the ProTank, iClear and Aspire since it's clear from the comments he receives that users are having problems with all of them.

Honestly it's his opinion so no one can say he is wrong.
But is have to agree with the majority of his complaints because I personally have never been able to take a pro tank out of the box and
Vape happily on it, it always needs a wick removed or coil rebuilt first.
Can you make a protank great? Absolutely! If you rebuild them they work awesome!
But for someone just starting to vape I beleive a protank could ruin their experience if it's dry burning or flooding. There is no perfect device for everything so each person has to decide what down sides they can handle in their own devices.

I'd have to argue and say that it's different, not necessarily better. It just depends what you're looking for.

Having said that, I only use rebuilt coils in my ProTanks, I haven't attempted that in the Aspires yet.

lol, that's literally impossible based on design alone.

Yes and no. There's some VERY interesting stuff being done with the protanks (cotton wick, nano coils, chimney coils, diamond coils) that can make for some impressive performance.

Honestly, I don't get the brand loyalty... I started vaping to quit smoking. I started with a PT2 cause they were everywhere and recommended. While it got me off cigs, for that week straight it was nothing but a headache. Saw PBusardo's review of the Aspire so I ordered one. As soon as I tried the Aspire I ordered 3 more and put the PT back in the box. It was just a drastic difference.

If I wasn't already into rebuilding and Kanger came out with something that worked trouble free I would try it.
