After much waiting and much toil, the first batch of grippers are finally here :D

As with product development, nothing is perfect and the grippers have a flaw :(

They were originally designed for an 18350 battery, which still fits, but a 16340 fits better. The problem lies in the bottom cap which the battery is supposed to slide into but does not. So with that in mind we'll be selling these as a 16340 device. You can put an 18350 in them but when you put the cap on, there's about a 2mm space from being able to screw it in all the way.

I've been poking mine for 3 days now and love the draw. It's tight, like smoking a .... but tastes like Root beer :)

poland, and the brassy lands of google
Cool news, but I don't see them on the site Hoog. Since it is a matter of 2mm, then a AW IMR ought to fit just great. Also is the tolerance for the atty/ carto tube still 10mm clearance?

Great stuff, and I'll order immediately when available. :)

edit: One more thing, would the Bolt extender work with the Gripper's threading?

I popped in to the store today and was able to try one... it's a really cool little mod and with an LR carto on it hit pretty well with the 16340. I usually use the 1.5 ohm dual coils with a 5v nimh batt so am used to quite a kick, but the gripper still 'worked' for me. Great little stealth vape machine or glove box back up :)

did I read the description correct and this is disposable?

It does say that. Only reason I can think of is, since its such a low price, that you won't keel over from a heart attack or cry your eyes out if it takes a tumble into traffic.

Might be just the thing for a fishing trip mod. If it goes into the lake, you won't feel compelled to jump in after it.
