Sent a payment to Wonderlite and PayPal made it an echeck without giving me a choice, then after a 2 week wait they bounced it instead of using my Visa. No idea why they did this, all my other payments have been instant, using my Visa not my bank account.

2 weeks lost, no mini batts, and I'm sure Wonderlite is less than impressed with me...

Anyone know why this happened? I've emailed Wonderlite and asked them to send a PayPal invoice like Rob does, as that seemed to work fine.

I've given up on calling them, they charge per minute like a damn sex line and you end up feeling like you serviced them, not the other way around.. past transgressions include converting USD to CAD back and forth for no reason (and charging me for it lol), taking back money from scam eBay buyers who get to keep their money AND my goods by filing false disputes, and now this crap.

Wish I could say I'm done with them but it seems I often have no choice, so GRRRR. Bastids.

They gave me a web pin and made me call:

888-221-1161
(a U.S. telephone number)
4:00 AM PST to 10:00 PM PST Monday through Friday
6:00 AM PST to 8:00 PM PST Saturday and Sunday

Maybe because I'm in Canada, I dunno. It says a US#, but nothing about per minute charges so that's good at least. While talking to them I went to make the payment again, and she stealth changed the default from echeck to Visa, only then did I notice the little "change" link where you can manually switch it.

Never knew about it and never before looked at my default method, I would just click send and it was always my CC getting billed. Somehow it got changed to echeck for that payment and she kinda tried to blame me for it lol no biggie other than being 2 weeks with a new mini and no batts..

OK thanks for letting me vent guys

Good news! I really feel comfortable with Paypal. Never had a bad incident and even once bought a laptop kit which was great and cheap only to have a NYC detective call me up after I registered it the MSI. Turns out it was in a group of 50 stolen from a wharehouse. I mailed back to NYC police dept. and Paypal gave me a $600 credit.

I'm thinking that I need to open a separate checking account and switch my PayPal over to that one. I'd keep the funds in that account less than $25.00 and add funds from my primary checking when needing to make a purchase using PayPal.

More hassle, but it would give me some peace of mind. Too many horror stories being told.

That is the smart way to do it. I might re-up at some point, if I get over being mad.
