Well that is completely unhelpful. Telling someone to have an analog? Really?

I read a Dr.'s post on here saying that it is better to have one analog then stress out about it. I had quit for two weeks and then my SVD broke and completely quit working. I came home got a RMA for the SVD and then ordered my Provari. It took 5 days to reach my mailbox. By the third day, I was becoming unraveled and stressed after no analog or vape. I came home from work and read the Dr.'s post. The next day at work, it was extremely stressful to say the least. I bummed one analog from a coworker after lunch. Much better. I haven't had one since. I have had one cig in 5 weeks. I am sorry, but I think one analog is less deadly then being stressed. Just my opinion. I did not mean to offend.

Me too. I have one VAMO! coming in the mail. Knew I should've gotten two of them but sometimes I ignore the fundamental :rules: of vaping - have a backup plan!

Have an analog and calm down. Then figure out what you are going to sell or how you are going to get extra work, then buy a Provari. Then quit forever.

Or, [ 10 months into this vaping, and it took that long for wife to say, "get what you want and be done with it" ] get three, like me.
Provari, Legacy and Vamo

So I need to take this thing apart  !!

I also somehow lost power to my Vamo . For some reason , the wires inside ( under the top cap ) were not in a good position for a connection ??? Not sure what's wrong here , but watched a YouTube video , from Ryan Cook ( Ryno Serious ) about taking apart , the Vamo . I followed his video , to carefully remove the top cap , and turned it , until my Vamo came on . Again , I have no idea why it is doing this , but turning the top cap , seemed to do the trick . ( top cap is a press fit ) And if you only have one battery , you need to get a few more (at least ) and also check your charger , my wife 's batteries weren't charging . The light turned green , but they were still not charged . Changed the power cord , and that problem went away . Sounds like you also need to get a multi-meter , so you can check your batteries , and chargers , as well as ohm output of your devices . Good Luck.

ok the battery can still be deaf. First since the Vamo is not staying on long enough, get a multimeter and see what it says. A 18350 unprotected high drsin 3.7v battery should read about 4.3v no higher.

If the battery says this then check the spring. Sometimes the spring looses contact with the cap. Take a screwdriver (regular not philips) and go around the base of the spring to make sure it is making complete contact. I noticed this with mine one time, makes enough contact to go on but not enough to stay on.

if all spring making contact in cap then turn on and before it goes off check the Oems of the atomizer by pressing the + button (right button when looking at it). make sure it is not reading 9.9 this usually means a bad coil (turns off right away to avoid problems).

if get good reading press the - button (left) to see what it says the batter is. if multimeter say good and unit says low (3.3 v) then take a small screwdriver into the unit battery end and try move center pin. move it around a bit so that it sounds like metal is rubbing. sometimes it gets a little stuck. while there, check the seal to make sure it is not damaged. That can also cause it to turn off quickly.

make sure you are not using a protected battery cuz the vamo has protection and gives problems with those (off and on then won't stay on). get the batteries from discount vapors and check their section for coupon codes. get good charger from them also.

dont know how to replace the o ring if over tightened the atomizer (very easy to do) nor replace the seal in the battery area (friend from my church did that fir me (bith busted)). hope this helped a little.

Stick a fork in my vamo.. I had him going yesterday just by turning the top ring a bit he worked most of the day but then lights kept blinking and he wouldn't stay on. I watched the video on how to take him apart thinking I could handle it, the top popped off very easy to reveal bare/broken wires!! I tried to slowly and carefully remove the wires from the chip deal in there like the video dude did but failed miserably. I did however succeed in completely finishing him off.. I like to think of it as putting him outta his misery :( I feel kinda stupid about the whole thing, I wish I could have just exchanged the thing like I wanted to :(
I'm trying to decided what I want to replace him with, not sure I want to get another vamo

As I posted earlier (Post #23) I suspected it was a bad connection leading to high resistance. Should've taken some pics and posted here as I just finished helping a friend fix the same issue. His was a bad connection in the Vamo top cap and I found by it testing all wires/ connections once it was disassembled. Reason we fixed it was the Vendor was ignoring emails otherwise would've suggested he just send it back for replacement.

I had a problem with communication with the vendor as well, they just ignored me, then when I finally heard from them I got an attitude and no help. That is why I took matters in to my own -incompetent- hands. Live and learn I guess. I just know I wont be buying from that vendor again.

Was it the "Chinese one"?

Then I would've have posted a negative review. Simply amazing at how quickly Vendors respond when issues are posted in a forum.

You're right, but you know, I was fairly irritated and thought that would come out in a post, I figured I would make things worse and I just don't need that now. I'm trying real hard to keep calm and vape so I stay away from the cigs. I've had a run of bad luck, but trying to keep a good light attitude so you know.. I just roll with the punches. From what I gather the vendor does others good, maybe he was having a bad day, or I rubbed them the wrong way.. who knows. I'm just gonna keep my chin up and figure something else out :)
I have found that old saying to be true..life is 10% what you make it and 90% how you take it.

So true and no need to stress over it. Most of us have had our fair share of duds that didn't end happily. I know you can buy a new pcb for about $21.00. Because the Vamo is so popular I'm expecting a price drop in the future and will prolly pick one up just in case.

save the dead body. in future you can tinker with it or even find somebody close by who can still fix it. If you are wanting a new unit check out pbarsodo review on youtube. He is great and tells his pro and con about each unit he reviews. just be careful cuz you may want to buy many dmore wonderful things after watching his reviews.

wish I was out there to see if my buddy could fix it for you. Glad you are not letting this get you back to stink sticks also.
