Guide to DIY Flavoring

I did a few test batches of some recipes I found last night and did nuke them. In 5 seconds the juice gets quite hot, enough so to make the bottle much more pliable than when cool. The liquid also gets very thin and to the eye looks to integrate everything well with a minute or so of shaking before it cools.
The thing I am wondering is if it might change some flavors. Have these batches each set up with their own cartomizer so I can sample them over the next week or two then I will either batch them up, make adjustments and try again or abandon them.
From some of the replies to the OP of this thread I gather he is Pure Vapes? If so you can expect an order from me soon, the pricing and availability of larger bottles of FA flavors is great. I am still very much in the experimental stages learning what we like but I have started buying some LA in 30 ml.

No matter what % I used it tasted awful. It had a chemical perfumey taste to it. I would start around 5% though and work you're way up. Let us know how it goes for you though.

Regardless I say try it and see how it works out for you. I would start around 5% and let it steep for a day. Adjust as needed like adding more flavor. If its still has a strange taste to it set it aside and come back to it in a week and try again. Part of DIY is the learning curve that goes with it. You want to walk away from a batch feeling confident you tried everything you could. Also what PG - VG ratio are you using? How much NIC are you using?
You have to understand that RY4 was developed by one person ( Ruyen I believe ) who used more than likely several complex flavorings & tobacco's to achieve what he did. Vendors just make their own version of what they believe it is. It really tastes different from vendor to vendor. Ry4 is the like the holy grail of flavors. Everyone has their own interpretation of it and its very hard to even get the base taste down right.

Hey Adcurti, try putting the bottle in a cup and fill with whistling hot teapot water and see if the floaties will melt in. Make sure the lid is on tight first, lol.
I have seen comments the owner of TFA has made about floaties being in some of the flavorings but says they'll melt in when shaken or put in hot water. I'm not sure, but maybe the sucralose is the same.

Still nasty eh? Not sure if your going to get anywhere with that flavor like we said earlier but I give ya kudos for trying.
Ok, I ran outa ejuice and went ahead and vaped some. Vaped fine but barely any flavor, didn't taste anything like chemicals. Gonna add flavour till I can taste it. I did speed steep it in a cup of hot water. Report back tomorrow.
Vaped fine means>??? What did you taste that seems fine? Just asking cause i got nowhere with this stuff no matter what I did. It tasted like I was vaping the perfume off of a old ladies neck.
I meant it had good vapor production sry, barely tasted anything so i added 5 drops to the 5ml i had left. i couldnt detect any perfume taste or chemical taste maybe since it was so weak. will vape some more today when i have a chance and report back.

Ok i tried it again..... EWWWWWWWWWWWW not the taste I was expecting. It wasn't all bad but it wasn't good like I have tried before. It wasn't sweet, it wasn't tobacco, it wasn't vanilla, I'm not sure what it was. Had a perfume/chemical flavor not overpowering it was tolerable but not what I wanted. I have an order of RY4 double and hope like hell its better.
Dave let me know how the double works for you, I've been tinkering with it all weekend
