Thanks guys,
When I put the bottom end cap studs in I will have one stud end up under the belt clip. And I will shorten the belt clip so that it can't touch the end cap, only the stud.
Instead of cutting an "L" slot to lock the cap on with, I will cut a "T" . Turn the cap to one side of the slot for ON and the other side for OFF.

Now I am wondering what it would cost to have all of the metal parts gold plated. Otherwise that brass is going to need a lot of polishing.

OK I had to run out and search for a pic that would better explain it than I did.
I haven't done any change to it yet, it is still holding great. but it is just a matter of time.

The slots shown above would be cut into the lexan tube and I would solder a stud to go into the slot.
This should give a better understanding. (I hope). just a thought and yes I know, the way this is drawn the tabs would break off. This is just to convey the idea not the actual design.

Very nice indeed. Could use a metal pen clip if you use a smaller battery/tube too. Actually, could do so anyhow, if you place a contact point higher on the current tube. Would overcomplicate the beautiful simplicity, though. Just thinkin'...
