Finally, I wanted to ask if you guys are getting any leaking? If I lay mine on it's side, without closing the air holes, it'll leak, is that normal, or am I doing something wrong?

are you filling to its absolute maximum capacity?
when you snap that tank closed, some of the juice may rush into the atty chamber, and slowly seep out the side air-holes.

Qorax covered filling the tank in his review. Very similar process to top-filling the Kayfun/Aqua.
I've had no leaks, as i have gotten used to filling this way with other tanks.

How to Fill the ESTIA Tank:

The process is exactly like the Aqua:

Close Air-holes > Close Juice Feed (if opened) > Remove top cap > Fill Juice > Attach top cap, but don't press it in fully > Inverse the Estia (drip tip facing the floor) > open the Air-holes > Now Press Fit the top cap > Let it remain in this position for a few seconds > Then get it upright and it's now ready to vape.

personally... I fill it to where the tank section tapers back in at the top.

I assume that it is enough to leave the slightest air bubble in the tank.
I feel that little bubble is key in any vacuum feed type tank systems. ie: ESTIA/Aqua/Kayfun.

*i never studied hydrodynamics, so take this info as an un-educated guess :p
** despite my physical appearance, i am educated... this just isn't my field of study. lol

How high do you fill it? Up to what point?

Buzz opined perfectly correct

With any atty it is wise to fill it till 80%. Never 100%, else it's pressure system would go wonky and you'd have either over-wicking or under-wicking, depending on the viscosity of your juice &/or the density of your wicks.

The above applies to all, be it the Estia, or the K'fun, Aqua, Taifun, SQuape types. And also for all Tank+RBAs like Sophia, Diver v2 and Killer705 inside any tank.

I fill the Estia till the Chimney tube taper, just submerging the Chimney section and leaving the straight tube of it clean. Exactly as Buzz stated.

I'm filling it too high and that may be my problem. I've been a filling it to the chimney straight pipe so the large bell part is just completely submerged in juice. I'll fill it a little less and see how that works. I'm already tired of cleaning juice off my hands and tank from leaking out the air holes. This might be easy for most but I've been bottom filling my tanks. Haven't really top filled since my days using carto tanks.

I've followed the instruction, especially for filling, and I'm not over filling (pretty much like Q described) close air and juice control, fill, put top cap so both top holes are till open, flip upside down, open air channels, snap top cap, wait a few
Seconds (I would say about 20) the vape away. At first all is well, sorta, and I never touch the juice control, but as I vape, I have to keep the air holes pointing up, or they start leaking. Now ok not sure if this makes any difference, but I'm dual coiling (3rd screw is still in place.) maybe I should fill the unused side juice channels with cotton as if it was tri coil

That unused side Juice Channels (x2) need to be completely "blocked". Pls pack them tight with tiny (but thick) blobs of cotton (x2).

And also, pls pack a little bit more cotton on your other (used) juice channels. You might be having a free-flow there as well.

So, I figured out why I was getting leaking issue after filling the Estia.

Today I decided to re-wick to change flavors. I noticed that when I removed the chimney there was one leg of the wick completely out of the channel. Since re-wicking and triple checking that the wicks stay in the channels when the chimney is screwed on or removed, it has been working perfectly. Just filled it up for the second time and not a drop out the air holes.

Love my Estia all the more for it. It truly is my best vaping device. My wishes of what I would do to update it have nothing to do with functionality or performance.

I wish the tank was bigger (yes soon the fatty tank will be available) and I wish the tank was engraved. That's it.

Anyone have a matte finish with a Lord or kiss? I love the way the polished looks with it, but I'd like to see how the matte looks before I stick with the polished.

Does everyone use cotton in theirs? I use rolled cotton, but I'm thinking about using hemp fiber. I've read that it lasts longer.. no first/second hand experience with it.. I'm finding I'm sticking more to one flavor per tank now... probably has a lot to do with the number of atomizers I have going at once.

I use cotton almost exclusively, but have also heard good things about hemp and bamboo fiber. If you try hemp be sure to let me know how your experience is with it.
