Gus Warrior of Light #018 Takes 18500 batteries. :)
I apologize for my crappy phone-camera photos. I do not like telescoping mods, so I got this one. I am in love. The switch is a dream and it is just gorgeous... a true work of art! The engraving is a little different than on the Gus Lord, and I like it better (from the pics I've seen- I do not own one). The squares are smaller and the engravings inbetween are deeper, and they are more of a rectangle shape individually than a square. It is definitely solid quality and well-made. I don't mind the fuse and it is easy to adjust. I ordered this on the 2nd of January and received it on the 5th. I did not upgrade the shipping. Pretty fricking amazing considering I'm across the pond in the Midwest USA!

I want to get an Estia to match, but I will have to wait until next pay day to buy the tank+sleeve. The regular Estia Lords do not match this engraving and I have to buy the sleeve separately. There is only one in stock and I am fervently praying to the Lord of Gus that it will still be there when I buy. I've inquired directly to the manufacturer about some sort of arrangement to swap out a plain sleeve on a regular Estia to save a little money so I can get my hands on it NOW, but we shall see. I would understand if he would not allow it... but I'm just so darn anxious about making sure I get that last Warrior tank!

Right now, I have a prefab Ceravape Hygeia on it. I am a little OCD about things matching, and this is the best thing I have. An atty or Enigma (my only RBAs) looks hideous to me on this mod, so I compromised and put this prefab tank on it for now. It has a somewhat-matching engraving. BTW, I like this Hygeia tank so far. It vapes well, but there is not as much cloud as from the Nautilus (but it tastes better if you ask me). I'm vaping Seduce juice Nebuchadnezzar (a cucumber mint). The wick is a small about 2mm wide solid tube of solid white ceramic through the coil. Pretty neat, actually. And the tank is well-made to boot. There is a certain way you have to break in these coils which I did not follow the first time around and I got an awfully unique burning taste, but once I actually read the instructions, my second coil did not do the same thing.

:vapor:But enough about that, this thread was intended to praise the Gus Warrior of Light! Any others out there with one?

Nice purchase, beautiful mod, don't GUS have the nicest switches. Love my GUS mods. They may well swap out the sleeve for you, whenever I've emailed them they've always been very accommodating. They even sent me an order for free once as it was someone's birthday there. Super nice guys.

It is a wonderful mod. There is nothing else like it! I can't wait to show it off at the next vape meet in my town (Hoosier Vapers). :) I did get a response from Gus, but I am not sure if my question was understood fully. He said that they would hold a sleeve back for me (awesome) and to e-mail him when I am ready. Does that mean I still need to buy both? Why would I need to e-mail him if I am going to buy both? Wish I spoke Greek...

Update: I bought the tank and drip tip. I e-mailed him and hopefully he means to replace the tank. If not, no biggie.. I'll just have to wait two weeks to get the matching sleeve. At least I know he is saving it for me.

They do seem like wonderful, accommodating people. I intend to give them more business in the future. Companies like this deserve it for making such beautiful and well-made mods and providing wonderful customer service! My husband wants the Kiss and he shall have one sometime in the near-ish future. :)

I got it! I got it! I got it!

I need to eat dinner, and then I'll attempt to build on it. I matches the engraving on the mod perfectly. It is hard to capture the beauty of this set-up. I think it looks a lot better than the regular Lord or even DK or WK. The polish on the deeper engraving brings it out and makes it look more intricate. It is stained black in the grooves, it doesn't appear grey or yellowish like my crappy phone camera makes it appear.

I had some curious helpers you can see. I will post more once I have a satisfying build.

Wowzers!!! Going from Lemo--->Estia=Mind blown. I had resigned myself that RBA tanks would just be mediocre. I did not think my first build would be awesome enough to keep, thus I have no pictures. Qorax's thread was immensely helpful. This thing is truly a work of art. I am highly impressed. I'm going to end up attached to this thing the second I get home every evening, and I'll be having Warrior of Light withdrawals during the day. I can wholeheartedly say that GUS does not make overpriced hunks of simply machined metal, like many of the manufacturers. GUS makes metal vaping sculptures that greatly exceed functional expectations. This set-up is worth every penny!

I used 28g wire, tricoil, 11 wraps each coil on a 1.7mm pin to end up with 1.3 ohms and I used cotton strips.

BTW, that's Sofia, aka Stouffers because she is a little plump. If you look closely, you can see Sheba, the other little helper.

Now, I must say that my only wish is that GUS would make some models with a recessed firing switch. Don't get me wrong, this switch is awesome and feels much better than any others I've tried as far as this style of switch, but we have an Innovape Liberty mod (makers of the Patriot) that has a recessed firing switch. It makes me more comfortable with traveling with it and has a unique locking feature that I don't have to fiddle with as much with it to set it down.

There's a great thread by qorax in the rebuilable atomizer sub, if you haven't already checked it out you should, it has some build pics too. Nice cat you have there.

I did check out the thread qorax has on the Estia. I highly recommend using toothpicks as it makes building it easier.
