I clean by using a vodka soak (min 1 hour) then a good rinse under warm water every 2nd refil, while that's being done I use an alternate cleaned head. I also use the EVOD heads for a less airy wispy draw. And run most of my liquids at 6 watts. GL OP. happy Vapeing

Not sure why you chose to bounce back on me. My post was in General - but whatever.

I do agree with IMO in post as there is a fair amount of disagreement as to Performance of just about every device made.
Right here on ECF we have many ProTank users that are in love with performance right out of the box. (YMMV)
For me........well still waiting on mine from a stalled coop. However, I have never had any device I had to totally overhaul to get working. Tweak maybe, but that is about it.

It seemed a bit condescending to everyone here and since i was a part of the discussion, it pertained to me as well. moving on.

the protank needs tweaking 100% and again IMO, the heads should be rebuilt to eliminate the need for flavor wicks and to better fill the juice slots on the sides of the heads. i know people say its good RootB, but most users that i have talked to or seen videos of need to either remove one or both wicks or just re-wick it. the simplicity of re-wicking this device makes wrapping a genny look like rocket science. All i am saying is try it before you get rid of it.

So u are saying turn it up a little? I use mbv 50/50 should I change the mix if so what would u recommend? I dont want to rebuild because im just not handy like that.

i totally understand. What i would try doing is cleaning the head every 2 tank fills. the coil will gunk with time as any clearo/carto will.

have you tried removing one of the extra tiny flavor wicks?

Also a 50/50 juice from MBV should not be gunking up a coil after 1 tank or a few days on that one tank. What flavors are you currently vaping?

Well it is hard to tell at times we are not there to see it but if the juice is dark or has a lot of sweetner it will gunk up the head fast.I run a clear juice in mime and the head last a month or more right out of the box at 60%pg-40%vg-6.5 to7.0 watts

I agree. The more savory my juice the more it gunks up. But I have less trouble with that on bottom feeds for some reason. I never go more than 3 refills on any juice even if it seems ok as it is easier to clean before it gunks up to the point of having a carbon ball on the coils and wicks. Once it gets to that point I have had poor luck cleaning and either have to rebuild it or replace it. On a big tank like the Protank I think I will follow the advice on here and just clean it after each fill. Saves on having to rebuild. I have known some folks that have rebuilt with SS mesh and have high praise on it. Next rebuild I may try that. I keep at least 4 spare heads on my atty's anyway. Why not just rotate them into and out of use/cleaning.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. Just trying to make sure all avenues are covered.
I also realize most people have never had a Kanger product before purchasing the ProTank. Most had not experienced any form of BCC tank until the ProTank purchase.
ProTank is just a bit more airy larger version of a T3 with the Coil more accessible by making it 2 piece. With recent updates all Kanger BCC will be sporting the 2 piece design.
Having 10 T3, 10 T-3mini and 5 MT3 tanks, I kind of have a feel for getting a good Vape out of them.
In 6 months of use I have only rebuilt 3 coils. (2) I broke while cleaning.(old eyes) and 1 from to many Dark liquids finally wearing the coil out.
I just used 2mm wick and 34ga Kanthal for a nice 1.6ohm coil on each. Split 1 piece of wick as flavor wicks.
I am of the school of thought that the Flavor wicks can and do provide additional e-liquid. Several Top Coil units also use Flavor wicks. Vivi Nova and some Ce5 designs.

What I see from what you're saying that your head is not making contact properly. Try pulling the pin from your battery a little bit.

Bottom coils don't like 50/50 liquid that much. I get a lot of dry hits. Wash your heads thoroughy in hot water and dry burn every other tank.
