Halloween. The true test.

My costume required a cigarette. With only one working battery I was doomed from the get go. I left the house giving myself permission to cave and smoke if it came to it. Upon entering the remarkably loud party it became clear that the ecig was a fail (auto bat). Unhooked the frying atty and let the battery burn away in my pocket. I think I was able to get off a couple of hits while outside but was ultimately too big a pain in the .....

So Halloween tested my PV and it FAILED.

Halloween also tested my will power vs. the analog. I WON. Truth is it didn't even test my will power. I was completely uninterested. I wasn't even craving a vape! It wasn't available so I didn't get to have it. I'm astonished. It would be one thing if it were a normal evening with a few drinks and dead battery but this was a HUGE party. I was wasted (use your imagination). I was sure I was going to end up smoking and I simply didn't.

Today I took out my hobbled kit and it was looking for a moment like my last remaining battery was also finished. I didn't really care. So be it I though. I guess my affair with nicotine is over. Nope. Battery charged and I'm having a nice low nic vape now. Maybe I'm being naive but I'm almost certain that whatever comes first-- battery failure, atty, juice exhaustion etc. will end my nicotine use. Very very interesting...

sounds like you need a manual battery. sound does set off many older batts.

there are manual batteries available for many/most models.
i quickly found that i needed a mod at high voltage for my nic needs.

i just hope you don't give up on e-cigs, just become as informed as possible and you may end up like many others here who love it. but as is often said there is a learning curve.

BTW what e-cig do you have now?

I think you misunderstood. I love vaping and love my Sideshow (Tony has manuals for it too). If I buy any more gear it'll definitely be manual batts from Tony or I may try a 510 with manuals from cignot. My point is that since using my (awesome) Sideshow my nicotine addiction has mellowed significantly. Possibly to the point that I won't replace any equipment and just let the love affair end. Not a terribly good report for the ecig industry "wow your product works so well I'm not going to use it anymore!". We'll see though. It is really enjoyable. Also just to clarify-- the party was very, very loud with a live band in a small venue. Manual battery would have solved everything.

Btw, what was your costume? I have a Star Wars Stormtrooper costume I put together and a blue lit e-cig worked perfectly with it, It was rather cool to be able to smoke inside a helmet, just exhaling fog through the face grill
