I thought I was doing good by buying the Halo Triton for my dad, but he keeps having issues with not enough vapor or none at all. I figure you would just fill and it would work... fill again when it runs out. The Halo stuff seems a bit more expensive, nothing else works with (found out the hard way) have no idea if it is working fine or could be better. I just bought 2 new triton 900 batteries and coils for like $55. Talked to Halo and I can return with refund....

He uses VG ejuice, the pg bothered him.

Should I return and try something else that will work better and be more consistent?? Any thoughts on products to keep him vaping and not returning to the cigarettes.

Thanks
Wayne

Most VG juices are watered down to help with consistency... You don't really have to worry about the PG/VG content (as far as wicking goes) unless you're getting stuff custom made or specifically made for dripping. If you do get something that's thick, you can add distilled water (NOT tap water) to it to thin it out... But you can also find brands that have this done already so you don't have to worry about messing up the flavor / nic content / etc.

As far as a good starter setup... Something like an MVP, Vamo, SVD, Vision Spinner, etc. with a Nautilus / Nautilus mini would probably work better.

Wayne, Vaping is not like smoking--there is a learning curve. You can't just fill it up and vape and refill again. You need to know a bit about how those things work, how to maintain them, how to clean coils (or when to replace them) etc. None of this is rocket science, but you have to spend some time learning.

Triton is decent setup and I have a feeling that there is user error or inexperience involved. Maybe it would help if and you dad watched a YouTube video or two to learn some basics. You can stay with Triton or switch to 510 threaded batteries--you'll have many more choices of hardware--battereis and toppers.

There are many options in the wonderful world of 510 connection--depending on price and technological advancements:

1) eGo-class batteries, similar to what you have now. I'd recommend a variable voltage battery, like eGo-C Twist, Vision Spinner, Kanger eVod etc.

2) MVP2 (box shaped, 2600 mAh, ohms reader, vv/vw, works as a passthrough) or its little sister the Innokin VV V3 (only 700 mAh but otherwise identical to the MVP). If your dad doesn't mind a box shaped battery, that's what I would recommend.

Toppers: I prefer Kangers BCC or BDC clearomizers--they are inexpensive, the coils are easy to clean and dry burn. Look at T3S or eVod--basic single coil clearos. If you want a dual-coil Kanger topper, get an Aerotank--they come in different sizes, I like the mini and regular V1.

Good luck!
