LOL. YES!

KE7JDO here. Glad to see some vapin hams!

I haven't fiddled with the radio in a while unfortunately. The antennas have been down for a bit while the man fixes up his shack.

Usually hang around 40m. I LOVE playing with DX on 20m at night though :D I also had pretty major obsession with SSTV while the radios were up and running.

Hello from KE4NT
my bride KD5TKB
and my clone, KD5TKC

Was heavy into contesting back when the bands were open 2000-2002
on 1010, CQWW, field day, and some mobile contesting. (Texas QSO Party )
Also enjoy chasing VHF satellite, I've confirmed the ISS (voice and packet),
ISS packet 22:00 edt fm Charlotte
many shuttles, and Skylab, and used to love working the russian birds on HF.

Love to kit/homebrew antennas and work on older gear, hamfests and such.
Still dabble into PSK31 and other digital modes, but I miss packet radio. (and bulletin boards)

Some of the older packet networks were my first introduction into the world of Linux.
Still have my old AMPRnet email addresses, long before the internet was popular.
44.76.0.27 ke4nt.ampr.org - 44.76.0.28 kd5tkb.ampr.org - kd5tkb 44.76.0.29 kd5tkc.ampr.org

Spent some time adding HamRadio apps to a linux distro called Damn Small Linux, that was fun.
(yeah, I'm THAT Linux guy... Now I make a living at it. Who'da thunk it?? )

Please come back, Mr. Solar Cycle.....

Hey guys... N9RFP here. Sorry to say that I didn't notice this thread until just now!

Tech +, but I think that they've lopped codeless/techs togehter now, but not exactly sure. Shows you how much I've been keeping up the past several years. Sad to say, but currently somewhat inactive, however I've been known to frequent VHF/UHF 2m-23cm, focusing on 220 MHz, my favorite band. Not much activity on HF due to a lack of gear. Currently my only working rig is a handheld, a Kenwood TH-F6A.

I didn't notice it either, I am just revising for my test :D The good thing about the UK is ya get to go on the HF bands and can transmit 10 watts with just the foundation licence - QRP!!!

There is one downside, no building my own antennas, going to have to buy a commercial Cobwebb multiband antenna for £250 when I could build the same thing for less than £30!

Then I gotta get a radio, our Icom IC706 borrowed as a gift seems to be deaf so stuck listening on the short wave SSB receiver :(
