I guess Im more curious if the mod has any severe issues with voltage drop. I have agat's and t2's myself so im familiar with that side of it.

Is that Aios atty a dripper or a tank? I know I saw em of FT awhile back but never bought one or looked into it.

Buffalo guy, I was under the impression that voltage drop under load has more to do with the atomizer and less to do with the mod. But if you'd like, I'd be willing to test vdrop underload on mine. The agat that I use on my pipe currently had pretty terrible vdrop lol.

However I just found out that the AIOS td hybrid atty (which is made for the chi you) threads right into the hammer. Looks pretty badass too!

No sweat bud. If you're into clearos, google rocket sax clearomizer. It's made with a curved tip to look great on epipes. If I still used clearos, I'd be stocking up in those for this mod.

Hey guys. Any recommendations on a replaceable single coil 510 tank for this clone? Just going to use the 305 battery so single coil may be best. Perhaps top coil would be better than down because it's laying flat? Would like mostly metal, maybe a *small* window to keep integrity of metal theme. Put up pix of your rig, guys.... mines in the mail. LOL

The mod had 0.00v drop when I tested it.
The AIOS is either a dripper or a tank. In my photo I have it setup in tank mode. When in tank mode it is an inverted genesis. The coil is at the bottom and the tank threads above. It's coil is in the center so there's your obvious issues/benefits to that. It doesn't leak at all either.

I'm planning on trying dripper mode with it so I can place the coil by the air holes. But as it stands now I'm enjoying the cool vape from tank mode especially with a cold drink emulating juice. I've got raspberry lemonade in mine and it tastes like it was made for a cool vape.

I have a Kanger pro tank 2 I slap on it while on the go, although it is bottom coil, I think it performs pretty well...

my question is this:

you hear so many people talking about these designers loosing all this money because these guys are making duplicate clones of the originals.

is it just possible that its all a big game?

is it possible that maybe these so-called "designers" are in league with the people who "clone" these devices?

now follow me on this.
designer makes this awesome looking device/tak/ect/ect/ect and slaps it out there for say $275 bucks ( that actually probably only costs him $10 bucks in parts to make)

now the average vaping joe whos not independently wealthy who works his 40+ hour week, pays his bills, ect cant afford to slap $275 on the table to buy something that pretty much equates to a "luxury" item.

so the original designer gets with his brother in laws cousins uncles best friends sisters neighbor and says "hey man, tell you what, heres the plans to such and such. i designed it and prototyped it and made a few and i was gonna sell them for $275 apiece, but their not selling. now, if you can produce these as a 1:1 "clone" of my original design for say,$3 bucks apiece in quantity, we can sell them in the $50 range and make ooodles of money"

now vaping joe sees the "clone" at $50 bucks apiece, and guess what, it just came into his price range and is no longer a high dollar "luxury" item. at this point hes thinking "hell, $50? i can hide that from the wife, and ill tell her that vaping steve at work traded me another mod for it or something"

ive seen alot of original devices, and alot of clones. alot of the time, the clones are virtually identical to the original, same materials, same quality ( or in some cases, the clones BETTER quality than the original designed device) so why WOULDNT you buy the clone, especially if its a 1:1 copy??...alot of the clones are identical in pretty much every way, close enough that 99% of the time, a person wouldnt know the difference.

for instance my bro has an original vicious ant kraken tank he paid like $250 bucks for, ive got a clone i purchased on ebay. we have sat them side by side and examined them one end t the other, and they are literally virtually IDENTICAL in every way, down to the serial number etching , all the lettering, ect, ect. identical.

doesnt that make you wonder if what i mentioned earlier is whats happening, or does it make you wonder why these so-called "designers" are charging so damn much when an identical repop can be done for virtually a miniscule fraction of the original price? maybe the original is just fancy high $$ advertising for the 'clone" thats soon to come?

so before hacking the hell out of these so called counterfeiters you might take the time to ask yourself those questions, and if they were literally doing this ..... without permission, why aren't there billions of dollars worth of lawsuits, ect going on constantly and why are they still able to sell the clones of the originals? cant tell me its because other countries dont have this law or that law cause i know for a fact that in china you are able to sue for stuff like this (a bros father who lives there did and won a bundle on an invention of his) , and even do so internationally....

if you had two identical devices sitting side by side at the same shop, one an original for $275 bucks and a 1:1 copy OF THE original for $25, they both look identical, operate identically, ect. which would you buy?

I just don't get the fascination with FT? I can understand saving a couple of bucks, but is driving the Chinese economy over the American economy worth the savings? I know, most of the stuff I buy came from China, but my hard earned $ are going to stay here in the states with an American vendor, unless its something that I absolutely can't get from an American vendor... Just my 2¢...

well, yea, the motivation is in most cases, most of the suppliers buy directly from them at prices CHEAPER than the regular advertised public prices on fasttech, and then mark the items up another 300-400% OR MORE. as an example, look at the stainless drip tips you posted earlier. there $20 bucks thru the vendor you linked to.. at $3 (or less, depending on which you get, straight or bent) a pop thru fasttech with free shipping , captivate is selling them at literally a FIVE HUNDRED PERCENT mark up ($3X5=$15 bucks, not counting of course the original $3 price tag) THEN charge inflated shipping prices on top of the original purchase price ( and fasttech ships for free, all the way from china, imagine that..MOST DEALERS IVE ORDERED FROM CHARGE ENOUGH FOR FIRST CLASS MAIL TO SHIP PRIORITY FLAT RATE INSURED AND POCKET THE REST AS PROFIT). when we purchase from fasttech, it may be helping to drive the chinese economy, but come on man, us vendors feel that they need to make huge profits on everything they sell AND THEY BUY THEIR STUFF FROM FASTTECH AND PLACES LIKE THAT, SO THEIR ECONOMY'S BEING DRIVEN BY US FUNDS REGARDLESS. i am ex-us military and WAY USA oriented generally in my purchasing, BUT when i see dealers here in the US literally raping us buyers on items they paid next to nothing for, well, what can one say. ill buy where the items are cheaper. if that entails ordering my items from china, russia, germany, italy, the UK or wherever, ill do it.

you may say that our economies in the toilet, which is definitely is, but if thats the case, dealers should recognize that and price their items accordingly to compensate. whats wrong with marking your items at 10%, 20% or even 30% above what you paid for them as a dealer? if i was looking at an item on fasttech for,say,$10, but i found a US vendor i could purchase the exact same item from for,say $13, id buy from the US dealer in a heartbeat ive done it tons of times.problem is, americans are so fricking greedy, we cant price stuff like that, if we cant make a 500% profit, its not worth our time.. as with the drip tips, i can not see why dealers feel they need to price their items at the extreme that they can order 5 more for the price that they sold the original for, and the items are delivered FOR FREE such as thru fasttech. ive pointed this out on the forums before, the the point that one vendor completely banned me from their thread because i pointed out that they were selling an item 3x higher than any other dealer online, and the peeps here were eating it up, all because they were thru the forums...REALLY? ive had dealers here tell me that i MUST have purchased the item as a knock off because it was half of what they were charging ( which it wasnt )

point is, maybe instead of admonishing people for buying from china, maybe people should slam the dealers/vendors a little for pricing their items way overboard and for trying to rape their fellow citizens here in the USA and in turn driving them to places like fasttech to buy their stuff..

bro, if you want to pay $80 for an $8 item from a us vendor just because their in the US, then by god more power to ya cause 99% of the time, it isnt saving "a couple bucks" its saving 75-90% over what us vendors charge! and most of them are getting their gear from places overseas like fasttech, so the moneys going there REGARDLESS of who buys it from them, public joes or vendors!.....LOL!

tell you what. whenever you decide to buy some more vape gear, send me your order. ill buy from china, and then ill only mark the items up 20% over their prices and you can tell everyone you bought american.

where do you think 90% of hese vendors get their stuff from man!
:)

That looks great EvilJunkee. I like the way you emulated your avatar. :D Besides the possible leaking problem, is there another concern with bottom coils for this mod, as opposed to top coil on 510's?

What are they using to extend before the tank? First time I seen it extended!

2i8cdqx.png

Is it the battery extender piece with extra ring/connector?

ddmgy1.jpg

***EDIT*** It's NOT extended. The tank is that BIG, a Golden Greek UFS. Thanks vdaedalus! ;)

the extension tubes for the hammer do look exactly like what is pictured there with the ithaka. im not sure if that particular setup is with a GG UFS tank, but i can tell you that if i were to put the extension tubes on the hammer and threaded them beneath the atty, it would look like what is pictured there with the ithaka.

pulp, im not familiar with the workings of the GG UFS, but at first glance, i dont see how liquid can be stored both beneath and above the coil. as far as i know, the ithaka is a bottom coil tank so having that extension tube below the tank seems out of place.

I'm wondering if a Kick can be used with the hammer?

i tend to think so. i havent tried it, but i can check tonight when i get home.
