I wonder if a clone kick would fit better (17.5 mm), I can't find any size specs for the Kick by Evolv though. :( Only vague 15 mm-20 mm.

Edit: I did some more research and at least found out that Chi You, King and Astro clone parts all work with the Hammer clone...and so does the AIOS R/T clone atty.

As if the "real" one is remotely worth $280. Mech mods are a dime a dozen these days. I contend that these manufacturers cashing in on the $200+ mech mod market by churning out slightly variated designs are the real charlatans. At least the Chinese are giving you a product at a fair price.

This Hammer mod makes no sense to me. It serves no purpose, functions exactly the same as any other mech mod, and is a Gaelic themed device made by Koreans. ...? At least if you're buying it as a novelty you might as well get the reasonably priced version instead of the highway robbery pricing the "authentic" version commands

Design is not Gaelic, its Norse.

i sold my kick clone (sigelei) but from what i remember of it, it wasnt noticeabally shorter (possibly a hair shorter), and definately a hair wider.

the AIOS looks great on the Hammer BTW. looks better there than on the chi you IMO. you can flip back in this thread for my photo if youre interested.

if your talking about the actual ENGRAVING design, its supposed to be modeled after a hammerhead shark.....dont ask me HOW they came up with that, but thats what it says all around the web.

spaceman84
yes, it does function exactly as any other mechanical mod, but it is supposed to be a PIPE style, not a straight style, and the design is aesthetically off the hook. i do own many mods, some cheap some grossly overpriced "designer" type mods, but one thing i have found is that they ALL pretty much do the same thing. deliver a certain amount of voltage/watts to a wound heating coil to heat up a liquid which in turn produces a smoke like vapor you inhale into your lungs that we will probably find out in 10 years will give us all worse cancer than we ever thought about smoking, but d*mn it, im gonna look good whilst i do it....LOL....

point is, they all do the same exact thing, some different than others and some better than others, but they still all do the same thing.

Well I have had my Tobeco Hammer for a couple days now and I really like it. I saw the pic of the kick in the extension on the atty side and decided to try it. Well the small extension does not thread into that hole and the kick gets stuck in the tube. So i will have to figure out the treading issue and sand down the inside of the tube.

does anyone know if the ft clone are the same.... they have two version one says brass and one says ss... are they both the same as in the close both made of brass and just the extension tubes are ss or is the actually hammer clone mod ss and one brass? thanks in advance

They are completely different. The chromed brass one has a knurled locking ring (and is probably made by rainbow heaven). The stainless and brass hammer has a smooth locking ring (and is probably made by infinite edit: confirmed).

Edit:
The only brass parts are the inner tube inside the mod itself and the screw/firing pin.
from What parts are brass, what parts are ss?: FastTech Forums

The stainless/brass hammer clone on FT has an airflow hole drilled into the side of the 510 connector. Infinite (AFAIK) is the only manufacturer to do this.

I just wanted to let you all know that I just got my Hcigar clone with silver plated contacts, and it is PRISTINE. No scuffs, nothing. Threads are crisp, engravings flawless and finish is clean. The only gripes I have are that the firing spring is a little too light (I plan to replace it as seen in another thread) and the locking ring can somewhat be hard to screw out. Also, the 510 connection seems to come off too easily when changing atties. No major problems. Other than these minor things, this device is excellent.

sorry to hear about your troubles with the rings not screwing in on your tobeco clone, they work flalessly on the hcigar clones i have i can screw any of the tubes from either one into either one.

on the hcigar clone, yes the firing pin spring is a bit light, just follow my instructions in another post in this thread and youll have it fixed up in no time.

So this is what I have on order. :D

Is anyone going to order a Chi You magnet set for the button on this thing? Anyone planning a magnetic conversion?

I got my HCigar the other day and have been enjoying it since. Definitely not pocket friendly due to weight and the stuck locking ring but this is by far the most unique mod in my collection. Unfortunately, the extension tubes do not screw in all the way, but fortunately, tube from my genuine astro mod fits perfectly.

im actually working on putting a magnetic switch together for the hcigar. just waiting on a couple things to finish it up. will post pix when im done and the parts i used.

im running the exact same setup as the pix you posted. kayfun light clone , the straight drip tip, ect. off the hook my brother, off the hook......fasttech also has some other new stainless long drip tips in now (new to me, i just spotted them a few days ago) and i ordered all of them.

https://www.fasttech.com/products/1411/10005768/1563402

if you go down the list on the drop down theres 5 of them and they are the 65mm ones.their a bit longer than the straight one you pictured. look pretty nice. shipping ticking me off a little though, china post is like 10 business days behind in their stuff right now so it will probably be a month before they show...LOL

im using efest high drain 18350's in mine. im a heavy vaper and one lasts pretty much all day. amazon is where i buy mine, they are fairly cheap.

$6.85 for two plus shipping
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00D0OHDTO/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

and im also waiting on kick modules from fasttech. $8.33 and the reviews are pretty good
