Well after fileing down the threads and using the dremel on this inside of the tube, here is what i got.

The tube is still not long enough for a kick. So i evened out the gap to try to make it look more symmetrical.

Kemosabe, if you switch the position of the atty & the firing button, do you insert the battery - ve side in 1st?

To get this to work with the kick i have to put the positive side in first. I thought it wouldn't work till i switched the way I inserted the battery.

I will say that with the kick i am using batteries almost as fast as I can charge them.

Personally, I had issues with them. 3 magnets were not stong enough to keep it standing, 4 were too fat to let the switch work. I sanded down the outer coating on the magnets, now 4 work perfectly, and they also reduce throw to less than 1mm

Just a fair warning that it took some fiddling, but I'm happy with the result.

bored last night and was lookin for something to fiddle with, so i took one of my hammer mods, screwed the 18650 tube on the atomizer side, took a long spring i had in my box and a plastic disk out of the top if an evic tube, pushed the spring on the 510 conector bottom, threw the disk on the spring ( to make contact with the center battery tube inside the mod and to keep it from touching the sides of the tube),screwed it all together, and now i have a hammer mod thats not as short on the atomizer side......LOL...works great and no perm. mods, so it can be put back anytime........

not to big a pik but gives you an idea anyway..LOL..

if you were going to use it like this and wanted to put a kick in, id imagine all youd have to do is to install a shorter spring with the kick tube. works pretty darn good.

OR if you were planning on NOT using a kick, you could solder a wire from the bottom of the 510 connector to the inside battery tube and it would be pretty permanent

Nope. You still insert pos side in first every time. It will still fire the other way around but pos in first is the way it should be put in.

Heres is a few pics of the Delrin/Brass extension spacer I made at the machine shop where I work to allow for the Kick extension tube to be used on the atty side.

The Kick extension tube was tapered on the inside, so I duplicated the taper some to make for a snug fit in the tube.

I will post the dimensions of the brass post and Delrin tube when I get home tonight and show a couple pics of it put together.

LOL....great minds think alike bro!......i did the spring thing i posted about, but i was actually looking for materials yesterday to do the exact same thing!......ill take one in 18650 length as well as kick tube length!...send me a price and an address!

The Brass Pin seems to work best at 16.85mm

Note: If you want to add a Kick to this Kick Tube, it needs to be under 16.85mm or you wont be able to screw the assembly completely together.
I use a Crown which is 8mm in height and then add my shorter version of this Delrin Extender/Brass Pin to make up the difference on my Horizontal setup.

Delrin Height is 14.00 mm

Delrin Taper Wide end is 18.60mm

Delrin Taper Narrow end is 17.90mm

So hopefully this will help you mod your Hammer's Kick Tube to be used as a Atty Extender.



Edit: Heres a pic of the above Delrin Spacer mod in the Kick Tube installed under the Fire Button in a Horizontal config. This Spacer works in both variations
