Interesting... Well the tinted glass in different colors is wider around then our current base tube. Hence the need to design a new top cap!

Grrrr .. I've got to find that video! You (I think) would love this design, it was a trip!

If only I could remember what I was searching for when I stumbled on it .. sigh.

We have already looked into anodizing and plan on bringing a set of caps over to the anodizer to see how it works out... That being said those who have contacted us and are against the fact we have aluminum caps have assured us that the anodizing will wear off. If this is the case we are right back to offering an inferior product that will haunt us down the road.

From a personal stand point, I am really not standing on one side of the fence or the other. I'd like to offer people what they want. But if this means that a year down the road, people will be contacting us angry that their caps have disintegrated or worse yet, our product made them sick, that is where I have to draw the line. I'd like to just say if you guys want anodized aluminum we will make that happen! But I do not want to do so at the risk of being bad mouthed on the forum or getting nasty emails when that anodizing wears off.

Here is the other problem with anodizing the caps we have... will they still fit into the tanks after the process is complete?? Or are we back to the drawing board designing a completely new cap. Unlike a plastic tank, you can not just shove something into glass. The wrong amount of inside pressure inside glass can be dangerous.

So, the anodizer is a bit of a drive from us, the next time we are in the area we will be dropping a set of the aluminum caps off and we will see how it goes.

Edit: Sorry didn't see where you asked to be ignored!!! As already state you can not be ignored!

moorea - did you ever get a picture of the "Thomas" tank?

Hey all!

Good evening BluSwatch, I hope all is well with you tonight.

I have all the "name" tanks right here... I should have photographed them or taken a video already, but I really do not like them. At the moment the hubby is building me a new computer in the spot I usually do my photo work. I PROMISE as soon as he is done and I move over to the new computer I will get you some photos.

I was feeling a bit bent out of shape myself yesterday... Google really had me PO'd. The problem still has not been solved and my customer has still been over charged by almost $800. I was in a very foul mood most of yesterday. Worst part is I was supposed to receive a call back to resolve my issue, and I still haven't gotten one.

But I am in a better mood today!

I didn't realize that anodize wore off. I'll have to keep an eye on my NotCig tank - so far so good and I keep it filled and in rotation.

Neither did I and I love my M1A1! For obvious reasons I am not using it now, but I trust Mike and have no reason to believe there is anything wrong with it. The entire aluminum things has me a bit frustrated, who does one believe?? It has not been laid to rest yet, but I do need to step back take a break and then regroup!

I'm getting in a better mood also .... just telling myself I can't make 100% of the people happy 100% of the time. LOL

All my tanks are doing great, but "goldie" is still in her virginal state waiting for the GLV. It's supposed to be mailing out this weekend I think. :toast:

You have not gotten that GLV yet??? No wonder you are feeling bent out of shape! You know what they say... Good things come to those that wait! (I don't think it says anything about waiting patiently)

Oh nooo ..... I'm not bent out of shape about my GLV. I knew that would take a bit, and told them "No rush" since it was ordered over the holidays, and has 2 custom powder- coat colors, plus an extra head powder-coated.

Totally unrelated thing had me bent out of shape. But I'm good now..... I ate.
