We have already looked into anodizing and plan on bringing a set of caps over to the anodizer to see how it works out... That being said those who have contacted us and are against the fact we have aluminum caps have assured us that the anodizing will wear off. If this is the case we are right back to offering an inferior product that will haunt us down the road.
From a personal stand point, I am really not standing on one side of the fence or the other. I'd like to offer people what they want. But if this means that a year down the road, people will be contacting us angry that their caps have disintegrated or worse yet, our product made them sick, that is where I have to draw the line. I'd like to just say if you guys want anodized aluminum we will make that happen! But I do not want to do so at the risk of being bad mouthed on the forum or getting nasty emails when that anodizing wears off.
Here is the other problem with anodizing the caps we have... will they still fit into the
tanks after the process is complete?? Or are we back to the drawing board designing a completely new cap. Unlike a plastic
tank, you can not just shove something into glass. The wrong amount of inside pressure inside glass can be dangerous.
So, the anodizer is a bit of a drive from us, the next time we are in the area we will be dropping a set of the aluminum caps off and we will see how it goes.
Edit: Sorry didn't see where you asked to be ignored!!! As already state you can not be ignored!
