Evening Phinatics!

Are we talking fur children? I have four dogs... My youngest is a purebred Yellow Lab, he'll be two in May. Then I have a 6-year-old Yellow Lab / Irish Wolfhound mix, he's my biggest boy. Then a ten-year-old Australian Shepherd / Pit Bull mix. And an eleven-year-old Black Lab / Newfie mix. The older three are rescues, my youngest we adopted from a friend who could no longer take care of him. It's a zoo around here, but Mr. SD and I love it. :D

Ok I usually avoid talking about my menagerie, people start to look at me strange when I bring them up.....

I have a 225 lbs Great Dane (Bruno the great), a 60lbs highland sheppard x dalmation mix (Da-Di), a 8lbs Chihuahua x Corgy mix (Maya), a 2.5 lbs tea cup chihuahua (Antonio Badass Junior, my niece named him scooby and gave him to me, I renamed him), 2 cats "Rupert Xavier Sasparilla" and "Karmalicious", and my 2 kids have a pet Tortuga and Cockatiel.

On our farm my wife and father-in-law have assorted farm animals (goats and cows on loan just clearing our land) , a couple dozen (ok over 100) chickens (exotic varieties), 2 Dogs and 9 cats that were all rescued, and just have free roam of our property, we feed them but we don't know who's they are or where they came from.

And I don't know if you would call them pets, because I don't own them, but I have a few wild parrots and another kind of bird called Zorsal, who are also mimics, that come visit me daily (No one ever believes me until they are at the house and the birds start doing the sexy whisle over and over to get my attention. I haven't figured out why they chose me yet, but I assume the parrots were pets released when their owner passed away, they are way to social. The zorsal are machavellian, they steal things, and they always are trying to trick you.

There is a troup of monkeys that take up residence of the farm during the mango season, they strip our red mango and purple mango trees clean while they ignore the regular mangos until last, they pretty much show up like clock work the night before we harvest, Actually they hit for orange and avocado seasons too.

I also landscaped my property with bromiliads and over hanging trees, for my orchid collection, which somehow brought with it 5 different species of Coqui (Puerto Rican tree frogs), I don't have the rare golden ones, but I have the 5 most vocal species and they all have different songs, so I am surrounded by a choir of frogs all night long, which is why I love coqui's and I want coqui tank ;) Their song made Puerto Rico my home.

Someone else with a "Pack" your pack is bigger then mine pound for pound, unless of course I throw in my moms standard poodle, german short hair and border collie which all roam the same property and often let themselves in through our doggie door. My only mistake, was having a pack of all puppies in the house at the same time... I should have spread it out a bit more. The labs are finally growing out of their puppy stage and will be 4 this august.

i have 2 jack russells mother and daughter, the mother Maggie is so dainty and Boo the daughter runs around like a mac truck hahahha

I have heard incredible things about jack russells. They are supposed to be really smart awesome dogs. But I don't think I have every actually met one. And I have worked at a few vets and kennels before college. I'd like to meet one though.

You threw me with the Monkeys for a moment then I saw you were Puerto Rico!

Our property is a non working ranch. While I prefer indoor domesticated animals my mom has had goats, horses and always keeps chickens (we steal the eggs).

In our house we also have a catilna Macaw, A hedge hog and lizard!

I raised Orchids in Florida. They were beautiful! I had over 100. I tried to move them all here, but they all died after our first summer ended.

they are very smart dogs when they choose to be hahahhaha, they are so loving, maggie likes to eat her food one piece at a time, she takes a piece goes in the other room eats it in private and then goes an gets another:laugh: needless to say it takes a bit for her to eat hahahha

That is VERY funny. My youngest beagle ladybug, likes to eat the few pieces of food that landed on the floor and not in the bowls. Before she eats from her bowl, she goes to each dogs dish and cleans the stray pieces off of the floor. When everyone is done and there are no more stray pieces she eats her food.

Oh and I guess I should puerto rico shipping to the shopping cart!

I have 3 furkids...all boys. 2 Yorkies and a Dachshund rescue. All spoiled rotten....my neighbor says they eat better than he does. They are very picky about food....I've seen them turn down T-bone steak, lol.

We had the Yorkies' great uncle for 16 years...broke my heart when we had to have him put to sleep. He was born a grouchy little old man and we loved him dearly. Lol, he would have hated his little nephews. :D

Puerto Rico is still USA, we are a territory, kinda like the 51st state that is to ashamed to admit it, we should really be listed under states kinda like D.C. The only reason PR isn't a state is so we can have our own contestants in the international beauty pagents and sporting events. Puerto Rican women are gorgeous and they actually win a lot of beauty pagents as for the gold medals...............we have a few..................

The whole thing is silly, there are a lot of idealistic arguements for and against finalizing the deal, the US just needs to force the issue and get it over with. I am sick of trying to explain to all the ecommerce hosting companies that they are overcharging me and the vendors.

I actually thought you were a common wealth. I've been to Puerto Rico and it is beautiful. But it is not me, it is the shopping cart software as well as the program we use for for shipping. Both put you as "International" so require different setup then our regular shipping. And the USPS will have different rates for you so we will need to figure them out. Once I figure them out I will see if we can afford to include you in the free shipping for the USA! I hope I can, but please do not be upset if I can't...

So I have run across a slight problem. I am only allowed two threads. When we run our next contest I will have to close one of them as I will want people to know we are running a contest. I really do not want to close my "information" thread as I want new people to always be able to easily find current information. That means when a new contest begins, I will have to close this thread. But I have really enjoyed chatting with you guys. My plan is to close this thread, open a contest thread (where we can continue our chat) and as soon as the contest is over close the thread and open a new thread for us to chat. I just want to be sure everyone is OK with that and continue our chat in the new thread.

Also, if you guys to have specific support or tank questions that are "official" and not just chatting, can we please post them in the other thread now and again to not only keep that thread alive, but others can see the answer and have that information as well.
