Hi Gang:

So far my favorite e-cigs are as follows: Njoy, Smart Fixx, Sedansa, and Janty Classic KISS Box. However, as many of you know from my posts in the past, my biggest complaint has been with the wimpy batteries that come with ALL manufacturers' brands, some worse than others.

Well, I haven't tried to return any of my batteries to any of these guys because I felt their failure was due to the "end of life" issues, meaning they aren't expected to last forever and that there were no material defects which warranted my even trying to return these batteries.

Guess what!!! I spoke with both Jims from Smart Fixx and Njoy, and they are both willing to exchange each and every one of my batteries and/or atomizers for up to one year. I am soooooooooooo happy. Jim of Njoy asked me how many dead batteries I have and what color. I told him 16 batteries and all are white. He told me that HAPPY CUSTOMERS are very important to the Njoy Team, and they want to make me happy. Jim has put them in the mail for me and is including a postage-paid self-addressed envelope for me to return the so-called defective ones. Jim of Smart Fixx said that he will do the same for all of us if we have problems with his batteries and/or atomizers for up to one year as well!!! That's what I call CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Now, as for the new Sedansa long-life batteries, they suck! Sedansa is still one of my favorites only because I like the way they "smoke" and I like the customer service, plus they have a five-year warranty. Can't complain about that. The "long-life" batteries are weak, do not hold a charge, do not last eight hours, and some didn't even charge at all straight from the box. I had ordered eight of them. Well, most of those are going back to Sedansa. I haven't even had them a month. I prefer the "old" batteries to these long-life ones. I haven't contacted customer service at Sedansa yet, so we'll see how well they handle my battery situation. I'm hoping it will be in a positive way.

Now, the KISS Boxes. Wow!!! I bought two auto switches and two manual switches and four atomizers. I loved them all, and the ones with the manual switches were my favorite until they both eventually quit on me. And one of my atomizers wants to stay stuck on "ON" -- has a mind of its own and gets super-duper sizzling hot, where I have to disengage it from the battery so it'll quit sizzling. I am still using two of the atomizers, though, with my auto switches. I really like the way they smoke, but I get a stronger hit with the manual switches. The customer service is fantastic as well. As soon as I told Harry about my manual switches and the atomizer, he said he'd send me the new-and-improved switches and a new atomizer. They were sent out on the 20th, so I should be getting them this week, hopefully.

So even though e-cigs have their inherent problems, I still continue to enjoy them and will do so as long as I have good customer service behind them, which so far so good!!! I haven't had a whole real cigarette in several months, and I feel so much better. I'm sure I smell better too. I know my house does. And I love being able to smoke in the office without the constant interruptions in order to have a smoke break outside the building.

Has anyone else been having similar problems? And if so, how do you find customer service for your particular make/model? Or am I the only one that tends to be "too hard" or "rough" with my "stuff"?

PS: I just received my Janty and Njoy packages in today's mail!!!!

Hi Norminall:

I, too, had problems with the burgundy pen style e-cig from Njoy. I don't know if it's just the color or perhaps a coincidence that burgundy was a flop for each of us.

I'm sorry to hear that you have not received your money back yet. I'd be happy to let Jim know of your problems if you'd like me to. Please let me know, as I correspond with him every now and again.

Another vote for NJoy customer service here.

Their products may break every week, but they're very good about sending replacements. If I can get year's worth of replacement parts from them, I'll stay a happy NJoy customer.

@trog, our resident expensive-e-cig skeptic: if each atomizer from NJoy lasts about a week (just my bad luck so far) and each battery lasts about a month (both of mine are starting to show their age) and they happily send out replacements for a year, no questions asked, that equals 52 atomizers, 24 batteries, 1 charger, and 4 cartridges for about $100. That's about $1.23 per item. I understand that it is a hassle to deal with contacting them every time something goes out, and it'd be nice to have a back up while your waiting for your replacement parts, but whatever...taking all that into account, how does that compare with what you're paying for your cheapo brands?*

*I realize that this might not work so well for non-US residents, as NJoy is based in the states. Do any of the companies across the pond have similar warranties?

So far SmartFixx has been very good customer service wise- the atomizers on the other hand are well, not so great in my experience so far- I feel bad havign ot keep emailing them after just 3 days when an atomizer goes bad, but my goodness, I spent $325 dollars on two kits + Cartridges, and haven't been able to smoke one of htem for more than a coupel of days before it burns out- My best one lasted 13 days- the other two burnt out in 3 days, and my mini burn out too. When htey are new, they are really great, lots of vapor- very logn life per cartridge, but the atomizers are a bit lacking- My batteries, abotu 3 1/2 weeks old now are already startign to not last very long, but I feel ike ive had to email SMartFixx so oten now, that I'm gettign to feel like they will tire of me right off quick, but it just seems one problem after another. I don't know if I'm just gettign unlucky and gettign a bit defective ones? or what?

@Nazereth: You and me both, man, although my experience has been with NJoy.

I figure that I'll just keep pestering them whenever my stuff breaks. If they don't like it, then they shouldn't have come up with the 1-year warranty. :) If they start getting snippy with me, I'll be sure to let you all know. Although, based on my experience so far, I don't think that will happen.

I've sent a link to this thread so Jim@njoy can perhaps help you out. I'm so sorry to hear about your problems. Good luck!

PS: I've already received a response from Jim@Njoy. He has read this thread and is having Mark looking into who you are (norminall). You might want to send them another e-mail to let them know who norminal is.

Marrianne- yo wouldn't have Jim at SmartFixx's email addy? How did you contact him directly? I'm havign one failed atomizer after another from Smartfixx- two lasted only 3 days, one lasted 13, and hte newest one I got as a replacement is now acting funny after only 2 days- it might last awhile, but the atomizer is beginnign ot heat up quickly now, just liek hte others did as they were dying. I't's been a frustrating experience atomizer-wise with the two styles (Pen and Mini), and I just feel bad havign to email them so often, but I spent a good deal of money thinking I'd be set for at least a month or nore, but am findign that is not hte case unfortunately.

Hi Nazareth:

Wowie-zowie! You sure are having bad luck/trouble with your atomizers. I'm so sorry to hear that. I have both the old and the new models of the pen style, and they are working great for me. I've never tried their mini.

I wouldn't feel bad about having to contact Smart Fixx so much. You deserve to have nondefective parts. I'm sure Jim will accommodate you until you become a happy customer. I'm so sorry to hear of your troubles.

Here are the e-mail addresses I have for Jim. Please let us know how you make out.

smartfixx@cox.net or admin@smartfixx.com

Good Luck!
