I have some premium Dr. Pepper cartomizers that I was going to refill with some juice. They don't have the soft rubber caps like the other premiums, and they seem to be impossible to remove.

I tried my normal paper binder clip to open them, but all it did was bend the clip and the opening of the mouthpiece. Out of frustration I brute forced it and all I could do was rip the top of the cap off. Seems like the edges of the cap are glued to the sides of the carto.

Any way to get these off without ruining them? I'd like to be able to top these off with my juice. (I can do the condom fill, but like to have the top open to see when I start over flowing).

Hey duder! These tops can be difficult to remove, can't they? The best success I've had is to put only the mouth end in boiling water for about 30 to 45 seconds. I hold it there, allowing only the first half-inch or so into the water. When the time is up, I allow it to cool a few seconds and then the top pops off pretty easily using your standard tool. This is not quick or fun, but it is effective. As I understand it, these hard tops are being replaced with the soft tops, but they will be selling the remaining inventory of the hard tops first.
