I've been having trouble with my GLV-2 having a really hard draw. Jay put a new resistor on it a few weeks ago and I've not been using it much because of the hard draw. Any ideas? I use a regular 510 atty. Even a brand new one does this, but not on some of my other vapes.

Analog free since 07/09/09

If you look where the 510 connection is, each side has a little groove make sure that groove is clear and clean. That is where the air flow comes from for the atomizer/cartomizer.
I actually took a hacksaw blade and ran it down each side of that groove to get BETTER air flow. If your top cap was painted the paint may have flowed and blocked it a little bit. I have shown pictures of mine after using the saw blade. If yours does not look close to this then maybe talk to Jay about it.
Hope this helps

Hey, thanks. Nice pics, btw. I looked at the grooves, they seem to be open. I don't know if I'll be taking a hack saw to mine, lol!

I guess what I was getting to is yours deep enough? that is the main question. Mine were pretty shallow and as soon as I opened them up it drew a whole lot better.
and I only used the blade of the hack saw. not with handle ( I would have surly messed it up if I did) lol

See ya.

OK, total newby here, but I have found one other thing that can cause a really tough draw......a very dirty atty. I use rubbing alcohol to clean mine. Let it soak for an hour or so shaking every once in a while, after you think it is clean (the alcohol should flow freely through the atty) take it out, blow out the excess alcohol (I use canned air to do this) and then let dry overnight. Should be ready for you bright and early in the morning.

I do the same thing but I use PGA (everclear is 190 proof) any way yes it is a cause of restricted air flow too. I should have mentioned that as well. Thanks My2

Oh, I'm the clean atty queen :) I've put on brand new attys and still have the same problem.

If you can stand to part with it I can fix that issue for sure. Its a real easy fix. It happens every blue moon because the brass insert is off just a little , blocking the air hole. Give me a call I can help you out for sure.
