Hello Vape Family .... Over the last 2 weeks I have been helping my Brother get off of a 40+ year habit with death sticks. He is now 8 days without a cigg  He doesn't care much for forums and more than likely will not register here :(

At any rate, I got him set up with a KangerTech subox mini kit and all is going well. But like most of us quickly became aware, he is wanting to get spare parts because he is now aware that something may happen to his tank or other hardware. Because of this he is desiring to purchase a spare tank for his subox.

He was looking at getting the subtank mini plus which holds 7ml of juice but the problem I see is that it's a 25mm wide tank and his mod takes a 22mm tank. There are so many choices out there now days and I don't keep up on all of the various tanks/mods and so I thought I would ask you guys for some suggestions that I can check out as I know there are lots of people here knowledgeable on lots of the hardware that is out there.

As you guys know the current tank that comes with the kit is a sub ohm tank with adjustable airflow. The problem is that I am not exactly sure if he really needs sub ohming ...... He produced a couple of videos for me of him toking on the thing and he does not take large tokes in the least. He has stated that he is not into cloud production. He just wanted a vape device to help him get off the death sticks, which so far it has been doing. He does however like the adjustable airflow and so I imagine he will want a tank with adjustable airflow. He is more of a tootle puffer than anything.

He was thinking about just purchasing an identical tank to what came with the kit but I don't know if he will. Knowing my brother, he will want to experiment around with variations of tanks. Me being sort of naive on all of the tanks and hardware available now days, I thought I would ask you guys for opinions etc...
EDIT: @suprtrkr where are you dude?

If he's a tootle puffer, he might like the Nautilus better. It's the closest thing I've found to puffing on an analog (except for a Kayfun, but those have to be rebuilt). They have an afc ring and make pretty decent flavor. Replacement parts for them are cheap and easily found as are the coils. He will need a mod that fires in the 7-20 Watt range though. They dry hit at anything over 20W, and most folks seem to prefer them at 7 or 8 to 15W. You can pick them up on any vape site for less than $30. Usually more like $25.

Thanks for the replay and info..... He has a 50W mod but he uses it at about 15W........ I will look into this as well as other suggestions anyone else throws my way... Thanks for the info.

He only knows 1 style at this point, I would have him swing into a vape shop and try a Nautilus and see if he prefers that style vape to the sub-ohm. If that is his style then he would do fine with the Nautilus on his Subox or even pick up an iStick 30w as a backup battery. Is he using the RBA of the subtank or just buying replacement coils?

Check out this link for the Nautilus. There's the full sized tank (5ML), and also the mini. I think it holds 3 ML and is 16mm instead of 22mm wide. There are also a plethora of different replacement tanks for it if he ever cracks the glass. Some are solid stainless, some are a steel sleeve over a polycarbonate tube, some are custom painted designs... etc, etc.

He is only using the pre built coils...... What makes this sort of difficult for myself is that he lives in the North West and I am way out in PA and so we have only communicated via email and videos he has made for me. If he would just get on this forum then my labor would be much reduced o_O, but that is not likely to happen.

Thanks, I will indeed check out the link. Thanks for the info, it is much appreciated by all.

Proper Terminology: Guide to Juice Delivery Devices

Good Starter Setups for a Beginner Vaper

My sister is a 30+ year, single pack per day smoker who recently decided it was finally time to quit smoking. She was well aware of the success that I had, and asked for my advice. We took trip to a vape shop that I am familiar with which had a flavor testing bar so that she could find a flavor that she would enjoy.

Turns out she didn't want a tobacco flavor. :thumb: Her favorite was a Red Hot CInnamon, and also picked out a Blueberry Cobbler and Keylime Cookie.

I was going to loan her one of my Provari's until she was more experienced in order to decide what type of mod she wanted for herself, but she immediately decided it was too big and heavy. She liked the iStick 30 and Nautilus Mini setups that the sales staff were using, and purchased that setup for herself. I had an unused Aspire Atlantis and older Protank II tanks which I gave her. She's gone over a week with just a few cigarettes since she began vaping. She's estatic with her choices.

Thanks for the info. Much appreciated..... The problem with my Brother is that he lives in a remote part of Montana and there are no vapes shop within probably hundreds of miles. He is liking his tobacco e juice so far......... I will check more into the istick 30 and the nautilus mini. Thanks @Baditude

I'd probly say the Nautilus as well, @AXIOM_1. Sound like the best option from what I've read in your post. Also it sounds like he might be taking mouth to lung hits maybe.

yes he is MTL hitting.... I will look into these things when I get the time. Thanks for input.
