Then stick with what you know you both like and leave it at that. He's digging the carto tanks, so are you, if I remember correctly. Keep it at that. Have back ups for both of you. Get your stealth and keep it put away so he doesn't even KNOW he can swipe it. Next time he cringes, remind him it wouldn't have even gotten to a cart had he not taken yours to begin with.

Yeah, I love good food, too, but c'mon. He's the one costing you guys so much, so stop letting him?

I was actually considering the VTR at one point, but I really do need a stealthier device, and small is what he's after. As for leaving him, which is what a previous poster mentioned, he isn't my boyfriend. He's my husband an aside from this vape thing, he's a decent one. Another poster mentioned locking away all the gear he's taken. No way. He'll lock away the food. He's a chef. He does all the cooking. You don't mess with the person who cooks your food.

Your over a barrel here...8-o Give him what he wants...:D

But doesn't he realize that the very reason you are having to buy 2 of everything is because of him? Have you brought this up and explained that if he stuck to, and took care of, the few PV's and tanks that he has that you wouldn't be spending needed money on duplicates "just in case"? I would be frustrated to no end with that.

He isn't mad when I go buy a second separately, because he took the first. He's just afraid of buying two at once, in case he does t like it. Vaping is completely about saving money to him, and if I buy two at once and he doesn't use it, we've wasted money. I've explained I'm spending more on shipping this way, but he'd rather spend the $4 extra on shipping in the future then the $30 on a topper he may not like. In his head, he's being frugal by trying before buying. As in trying my stuff before committing himself to it. And taking my stuff isn't making me spend my money really. It all goes to a joint account. His money and mine. So I'm not necessarily spending all my money on him. I do spend his money on it as well. It's just annoying that I need to wait on vape mail for a second one because he got attached to the first one.

You could try getting him interested in DIY ejuice. Since he is a cook he should not have any trouble at all knowing what flavors are good with each other. And mixing your own ejuice is much cheaper than buying from a vendor.

Just a thought.

:)

He's never argued over juice purchasing. He's a chef, and has no desire to vape crappy juice any more then I do. That, at least, is no issue.

No offense intented on the cook comment. I was just trying to save you some money on something. Why do you think mixing yourself you would have crappy ejuice. Or did I also miss the point.

In the end, we'd spend the same amount. It's the timing thing that is killing me. Buy one, learn to love it, hubby borrows it, he learns to love it, then I need to wait for vape mail on a second. We are still in the green compared to our cigarette budget.

I'm thinking that since I suspect he'll want a permanent car vape if there are three VV v3's in the house, I should just pull the damn trigger on two at once and have then delivered to work. Bring one home that he'll eventually see (I also prefer the VV v3 when dealing with our toddler. Sometimes, you just need TJ be able to use two hands fast with a two year old around), let him forget it in the car and keep it there, and I'll have another instantly for myself waiting at work for me. On paper, having 4 VV v3's and two MVP 2's looks excessive, but it won't once he sees how each is being used once they're all in use.

You could explain that ECF has a very active classified section. You have a ready place to recoup most of your cash for any items that end up gathering dust, or are outgrown.

Sorry. I wasn't clear. I meant that we haven't reached the point where we need to save money on juice. He's never argued about how much I spent on that, even though he knows I can find cheaper juice if I had to. He likes the better stuff, and while I think that yes, he could probably do better then what I buy in general, because he has the palate for it, he doesn't want to and I don't mind. I like trying everything out there, and that's the one thing he's with me on.

That may actually work out. I need to get verified in there. I've just regained access to my paypal account after years of just not using it, so I'll work on that.

It sounds like you have a plan in mind by reading the posts before this one. Maybe things will settle down after that.
good luck
:)

I understand your need to vent. I find myself to be the "guru of vaping" in my home and with all those I've converted. It's hard to get them to go further than just vaping on the system I've found for them or the ejuice I created. I spend more time keeping them in juice and their systems running than buying my own stuff. I keep doing it for the sake of their health though. I imagine one day they'll get it. In the meantime good luck and happy vaping! :vapor:

Ps. I always refer them to ECF!

seems kind of silly to come in here venting when you should be talking with him

I have discussed this with him. It just makes sense to him to buy one at a time and a second later if he decides he likes it. It doesn't make sense to me to spend shipping money twice, as he's always like what I buy. For what it's worth, he's never stopped me from buying that first upgrade I'm eyeing. If you don't want to read a vent, feel free to read something else. I'm venting because I have discussed this with him. He doesn't want to buy until he tries, and we don't have an easy to get to brick and mortar here unless we are willing to go over a bridge into Manhattan, or NJ, which is around $14 in tolls itself. I've already explained that I ask him each time, I tell him he will like it each time, I explain the rational of it to him each time... It seems he still needs time to try things. Why can't I vent a little? Any family member or friend I've turned to vaping is still relying on me for troubleshooting as it is, and venting to them will do me no good but garner more questions on things like "What are carto tanks?" and "How do you use one?" Sometimes, a person who wants to vent doesn't even need a solution. They just want to vent. Ignore it if you feel strongly about not wanting to read it. I ignore lots of things online if I don't want to read it.
