I am trying to achieve a more throat friendly vape. I bought 3 ohm cartomizers with a ProVari Mini. I am using a 50/50 24 mg e-juice and trying different voltages, but the vapor hit is too hard and too harsh.

I've ordered juice with less nicotine and also have tanks with 2.0 ohm carts coming.

I've tried volts ranging from 4-5.5.

I love the mini- it fits so well in my hand and the battery is great. Any help is appreciated.

Technically a 3Ω should give a slightly cooler vape, so may want to stick with those.

As Zapped says going mostly VG will help considerably with TH. I use mostly VG juices (60-70%) and have noticed a considerable lack of TH @ 20mg.

I've noticed some flavors really contribute to TH. Not sure if this comes down to being an alcohol base or the chemicals used to make these flavors.

If you want like, no TH, could try VG & distilled water.

You could also try changing the airflow. Only way I know of off the top of my head is the Hippo attachment.

like already said use liquid with more VG.
personally i dont smoke 100% VG because you cant even feel it at all if thats what you want then VG is the answer for you.
as far as the 2.0 ohm cartos your getting they will have a little more kick then the 3 ohm ones you are using so you might want to stick with the 3.0 ohms.
nic concentration also effects TH lower nic the less TH as you already know.
another thing is the flavor anything citrus, menthol,Cinnamon and many fruit flavors will have alot of TH
some smother choices would be like vanilla's and chocolates.

Silly me- I thought that the higher the resistance coupled with higher voltage = a more powerfully delivered hit. Hmmm.

My next e-juice order is coming in at 40/60 and at 18 mg nicotine. Hippo, huh. I'll look it up. I was wondering if longish tip placed on the cartomizer would give the vapor time to cool before it hits my mouth and this would help with harshness.

So, the *20* 2 ohm punched carts I've ordered for the tanks are a waste buy?

No, you can always keep them as backups.

Higher ohms will also extend the battery life.

What technique do you use to inhale?

I'm trying to retrain myself into more of a cigar/pipe smoker and pull vapor only into my mouth, trying for a slow, 3-4 second pull. Kinda like a straw, yes?

Anything else I can do?

Definitely the level of e-juice. My first order (from ECBlend) included a sample. I began vaping it and really liked it. I used it exclusively for almost 2 days. It was so tasty and soooo smooth.

I just picked it up while wearing my glasses and happened upon an important detail- IT HAS 0 NICOTINE.

Ha- I have a bottle of veg glycerin (from my lotion making days). I'm thinking of using it to dilute the 50/50 24 mg juices.

Opinions?

I think I may have something to contribute. Per the advice I received, I diluted the 50/50 24 mg e-juice with VG (about 1:3). Such a difference!

The harsh, irritating vapor was directly attributable to the high nicotine content, and possibly also to excessive PG ratio.

I was lucky to have a quart of VG available, due to my lotion making hobby and eyeballed the process.

Thanks to all. I am a happy girl.

I have tanks in the mail, and 16 mg e-juice on the way. Good to know I can dilute as needed.
