Wasn't referring to you specifically, but going back a page, i see your first post in response to him. Sarcastic, suspicious, accusatory even. Perhaps start the discussion with him in a different tone. Ask more detailed questions before questioning his motivation.
I don't know him personally and have no idea how true his story is and what his motivation is. I have empathy for his condition if indeed true ( and i have no reason as of yet to think he may be lying ), whatever the cause, and will like to hear more details with an open mind.
While that's true, and empathy should always be observed, too many of his answers either use qualifiers, are contradictory and intentially avoid direct responses and redirect which is usually a symptom of something else entirely....I'm out.
