Has anybody experienced any side effects from vaping?

Yes – There is one highly regarded juice brand that I really like the taste of but, it makes me physically ill if I vape it for 2 days.
At first I thought I was just over doing it but that’s not it. I can vape all day on 2 or 3 other brands (I’m a beginner and only have a juice from a few venders) and I can sometimes get a bit (or more than a bit) over nicotated but I don’t get sick.
There’s that + when I do get too much nicotine – my feet hurt the next morning. vaping is not without risk. It’s about harm reduction. I still feel much better overall than when I smoked. I have more energy, better wind etc. I should cut my nic level again.

Ty. Honestly, I don't know! I only post from my phone and don't really get feedback :/ I just keep posting lol

I try to balance my time between here and fb, but I often get tired of forum debates. Frankly, they're annoying.

There are several early on signs of getting nic drunk. The earliest of which is either the stomach ache, or mild nausea. Once we get our nic level right to achieve cessation, we can vape our favorite flavors all day with little to no issues.

I try to not ever get to the nausea level, because the slower onset of nicotine effects also seems to mean slower departure, and I just can't abide nausea, it's a fate worse than death. That's why I carefully monitor for those stomach twinges and react immediately if not sooner when I feel them. Had them the other morning; I start the day with a higher than normal nic level, to help boost it faster, and I think I stayed at the higher level too long; even after I started onto the daytime 9mg, I felt those pains, so I went to my evening 6mg to get them to depart before any worse symptoms showed up. Once I ate breakfast all seemed well, so I think it must have a stronger effect on an empty stomach, as many drugs do. It's very interesting to observe nicotine effects in the absence of all those other chemicals; before, it was hard to know exactly *what* was causing me to feel any given way, but with the intake of just *one* drug instead of thousands, it's easier to know what's going on in your body.

I drip all day with 4 mg nic. Rarely do I ever get ill anymore unless it's on my favorite flavor lol total loss of self control!

Side effects are so difficult to actually pin down to any particular chemical since we've exposed ourselves to do many over the years. It's often easier to simply blame the device, or the ejuice, than ourselves.
I never get tired of educating ANTZ. Those ppl will really piss a person off! The path to truth is through understanding. After roughly 7 months of vaping and smoking together, I'm nearly entirely nic free. While I enjoy vaping, I'm getting bored with it :/ I don't really feel a desire to smoke, or vape at all. Strange as that sounds for me to say. (15 yr smoker).

Keep monitoring the effects of nicotine on your body as time progresses. I believe that as our body is purged of as many chemicals as possible, our dependence is also reduced. In exchange, the nic level is also reduced. The effects are heightened from the same amounts. In theory.

Perhaps I should start a thread on that???

Maybe not a bad idea. It seems pretty well known that when dripping, you should use a lower nic level, so I make sure to only use 6mg ejuices in that. I also noticed, with the kayfun I just got, the first couple-three days I felt a mite hyper, like maybe just on the edge of too much, though never quite crossing the line, and I think it's just the superior performance kayfun offers; great vapor, great throat hit, and the flavor is so good you just can't put the thing down! :D

Smoked for 39 yrs, so I don't think I'm in any danger of being bored with vaping anytime soon. :D To me it's a precious lifesaver, and I'm enjoying every bit of it -- except, yeah, for the idiots who love to rain on a vaper's parade. I've told my mom and aunt the venal financial reasons for all those scare stories on the news, but they still feel obliged to remind me of them at every opportunity. My mom is more inclined to Trust The Man, she's just a very orthodox person in every respect, and apparently really believes anything she sees on TV, which alarms me; she's normally quite intelligent, I never suspected such gullibility. My aunt however is really glad I quit, but can't see any reason why I would need to go on vaping indefinitely -- because she's never smoked nor had any other addiction, so she wastes a lot of words and oxygen trying to "argue" me out of it -- non-addicts are really bad with the "just quit" line. I can understand that; apparently compulsive gambling is also an addiction, but I don't get it at all, why go on throwing money away? Those who don't suffer a particular addiction are incapable of imagining the world of an addict.

The only side effects for me were on the first days, sometimes I'd vape too much & get dizzy. Now that I'm used to it, no problem.

There is another, but only happens when a batch of e-juice is obtained from some sources. A cologne/perfume aftertaste, some notices this, others doesn't. When I run across such a bottle & vape it, the taste lingers. Have one onhand now, am trying to let it steep to see if it clears up.

It's easy to want to believe that what the "educated" are telling us is accurate. We often want to believe that if we don't understand it, it's bad. Looks like smoke, must be bad! Cigarettes are bad, vaping must be! Some ppl unfortunately would rather believe what's on tv, rather than become self educated. It's a war that will never end. Just the same as those who claim to have severe negative, physical side effects from vaping. Which I find very difficult to believe, unless they were using something entirely different, not intended for use.

16 days ago I got a nice beginner's setup and went from 21+ cigs a day to less than 10. 5 days ago I had my last ciggie. I am still experiencing the direct effects of quitting (coughing up phlegm, more breath, slightly better smell).

Negative side effect?
-There is the obsession part about buying expensive equipment I won't need to replace.
-Starting today I'm starting to get sensitive to throat hit with a cherry tobacco juice, but that's more likely a side effect of regaining normal sensitivity.
-Sometimes I do feel a tad short of breath after going for strong lung hits. Probably not as bad as if I had a real cigarette at this point and more than likely due to the fact I'm still coughing up phlegm.

My girlfriend did feel noxious on her second and third day of vaping. I suggested she gets some VG from the pharmacy and it's helping. Tomorrow I'll be giving her some juice with less nicotine concentration.

After vaping all day my eyes burn in the evening.

I believe that I've seen this brought up previously somewhere else. Taking into account that the eyes retain a significant amount of moisture, and pg is known to dehydrate, perhaps more fluid intake can negate the effects? Otherwise, vaping with more ventilation may assist.

I've noticed that I no longer feel like I'm gonna cough up a lung when I first wake up. I used to cough and hack up crap everyday when I first got up.

I do often feel the need to cough a bit after vaping as if I need to cough something up, but there's nothing there, and it's not a hard cough just like a tickle in the back of my throat.

I do notice some dry eye if I'm vaping a lot without lots of ventilation but nothing real bad.

Interesting thread.

Been vaping now for about 5 months. Vape pretty hard setups in my drippers. If I have a heavy vaping day, I can sometimes get an irritated throat. Sore lungs may happen. Although I think certain juices don't agree with me. You can feel the smoothness in the juice. Like space jam andromeda for example. Although I do like this juice and even got a 2nd bottle. You can feel the harshness and a night of dripping that constantly is certain to give me a sore throat.

Headache can happen also if I overdo it. Dehydration too.

But these are all lessons you learn in the beginning and you will see what agrees with you and what doesn't.

I vape 0 and 6mg.

I've been vaping almost 4 months. The only significant side effect I've seen is some swelling in my feet and ankles, which I think is a possible side effect of high levels of PG consumption. PG causes dehydration, and apparently this foot/ankle swelling can be a symptom of dehydration, strange as that sounds.

I found this interesting, I'm retaining fluid like crazy I don't even recognize my own feet and ankles! Never thought it could be from vaping. I drink water all day long and am not dehydrated.
