I started vaping to completely QUIT smoking and completely stop consuming nicotine.
At this point I have reduced analogs from 20 to 6 per day.

For some reason, when I just think about this one being my last real cigarette, my mind/body go nuts. I start feeling physical discomfort and need lots of nicotine. In fact I'm fulling myself with excuses like "don't feel like going outside - that's why better to vape" etc.

Anyway, sooner or later I will completely switch to ecigs. Than, I'm planning to reduce nicotine to 0 and than, hopefully, completely quit vaping.

It may be complicated, because vaping itself seems to be attractive.

Has anyone quit smoking and viping?

The trick is to not think about it.

Don't stress over how many cigarettes you have had.
Instead, focus on how many you have NOT had.

The less you worry about it, the sooner it will happen.
One day you'll realize that you haven't had a cigarette in a couple days, cuz you weren't even thinking about it.

One thing I did that helped alot was to think of it like this.

"I'm not quitting, I don't want to quit. I'm just switching brands. And my new brand is cheaper, tastes better and doesn't cause cancer."

I was/am a taperer from cigarettes. The first full day I went from 2 packs/day to 7 and over the next couple days that dropped to two cigarettes, where I stayed for a couple of weeks, and now I'm one cigarette every 36 hours or so. I let myself have a cigarette if I really want one and cannot distract myself from it with a hit off my eGo. Once I get completely off cigarettes, I'll start worry about weaning down my nicotine intake, but trying to do too much too quick (for you) is setting yourself up for failure.

I didn't sweat it. Had an RN4xxx 3-piece, wasn't quite right for me, but I did cut down a lot. Then I got a KR808D-1 2-piece, loved it.
I didn't stop until I stocked up, a couple 5-packs of 24 mg cartos plus some 24 mg liquid. I smoked one pack after getting everything in, couple a day for a week.
It's been a little over a month totally smoke free, about five weeks since I got the kit I'm using now.
A buddy I got a kit for went from half a pack a day down to 2 for the week he's had it. Looking at doing like I did, likely finish what he's got on hand, but he's set with a juice strength that works. Next up his wife -- I ordered a V4L sampler of 36 mg cartos for her to try, plus a 5 pack of American Spirit cartos; hopefully it'll help her.

I got a 510 over a month ago. I cut down from a PAD to about 10 on some days and other days I was closer to 20. I was losing hope for sure despite the awesome support and advice of members of thid great forum.

5 days ago, I picked up an eGo, had 2 more analogs and haven't wanted another one since. Not even a little bit.

So I guess what I'm trying to say is, don't give up, don't get discouraged, take the advice that's been posted in this thread and all over the forum and go easy on yourself.

It really can happen :)

I havent had an analog in a week. Bronchitis sent me to the ER and have been afraid to smoke since then. Guess I got scared when I wasn't getting any AIR!
I've hardly been vaping either...kinda scared...but really really wanting a throat hit! I'm mixing 12mg juice with 0mg trying to limit that nicotine intake.
So...guess i've completely quit at this point.

I'm not in a very good mood...I must say. Feeling a little uptight lol

I was a PAD Marlboro Light smoker. I got my PV a couple of weeks ago. At first I still smoked around 10 a day because I was still a little put out on the whole vaping thing. I just kept thinking that there was no way a vapor could replace a cigarette. But then I decided to really give a chance. I whittled down my cigarettes to the trigger moments, like after a meal and first one in the morning and last one at night. That got me down to 5 cigarettes a day. Then one day after lunch, it was raining like crazy outside and I had my eGo at my desk, so I started hitting that instead of stepping outside for a smoke. It worked to kill the crave and it finally dawned on me. This stupid torpedo looking thing can actually work! I wadded up the rest of my pack of smokes and haven't went back yet. I even made it through drink fest 2010 last Saturday without smoking one cigarette. A major event for me, cause I loves me a smoke with my beer. Now I'm hooked and trying out as many new flavors as possible. It's really become more of a hobby than a habit and I can't wait to start working on my first 5v mod. :D

Had 1 the first day, 2 the next two days, 1 the last (finished my pack) have had NONE since last Thursday and feeling great! I already ordered some 6mg juice and that is working for me - hoping to go down to 0 soon. For me, it is a "crutch" also, need it when stressed or around smokers. If I get down to 0 nic, I won't mind doing it on these occasions forever if I have to. Good job and good luck to Everyone!! We are doing wonders for our health and our bodies!
