I want to quit nicotine for good so I guess I can always vape 0% stuff but by then I really dont want to be bothered with it all.
Anyone else in the same boat?
Smoked for 44 years and vaped for 2 yrs. Quit last Sept. completely for 3 months without any problem. Now occasionally vape for the taste. I planned for the "quit" about 1 1/2 years and all went very well- had lottsa fun non stressful projects to keep me occupied. Actually was quite surprised as my job is extremely stressful and long hours (12) is the norm.
Best of Luck and if you're not successful don't sweat it. I tried to quit a year ago and it didn't happen= no big deal.

I've been cig free and vaping for about a week and I've really grown to like vaping, I don't see myself quitting vaping anytime soon. My better half is hoping on using vaping to help him overcome the physical comforts from the smoking habit, and has ideas of tapering everything off and eventually quitting both smoking and vaping.

Hi Cure and thanks for the question. It has caused me to think about it. One of the things I like about the vaping world is that it is very open and inclusive. Lots of different people with lots of different gear, juices, opinions and goals. And the folks I've found in ECF reflect those things in a pretty non-judgmental and supportive way toward one another. For that I am grateful.

I'm not sure if I will quit vaping or not. But I absolutely want to remain analog free, no matter what happens in the future. I have dropped my nic level from 18 to 12 and will continue to drop it over time, but it doesn't have to be in a hurried fashion. The folks here have suggested that this is a marathon, not a sprint and I have taken that to heart.

I am trying to be open to either continuing to vape or to quit vaping. I don't have to make the decision today, don't even have to have a goal one way or the other today. I'm letting the process unfold. I believe I will make the right decision for me when the time is right. If I decide to continue to vape after dropping nic to zero, fine. If I decide to quit vaping, that will be fine too. Again, the most important thing is to not go back to analogs, no how, no way. That sounds like a pretty wishy-washy answer, but I don't believe I have to deal with it today. What I do have to deal with today is remaining tobacco free. Who knows what the future may hold. If I don't smoke, the future will be there for me to make a choice.

Keep the vape and namaste.

I never intended to quit smoking. Vaping for me was an accident, seriously! My sister gave me a ego and a T3S. I ran out of Reds late one night, fired the ego up and the rest is history. I enjoy vaping even more than smoking, so I'll vape until I decide otherwise. Honestly...I never think about quitting vaping!

Hi all
I am completely new to vaping - 5 days in to not touching an analogue:laugh: I have some really basic gear but it has helped me amazingly well considering I'm a smoker of 25 years! In this short time I have come to love vaping - no smell, tastes great (almost) every time ( i mean newbie things like cartomizers running dry etc!) I initially thought this would tide me over until I got over the smokes then stop completely. This is still my intention but as the days have passed I'm already dreading giving up the e cigs!
I want to quit nicotine for good so I guess I can always vape 0% stuff but by then I really dont want to be bothered with it all.
Anyone else in the same boat?
Cheers
Cure

I'm pretty amazed I have gone this long without a cigarette and am not overly concerned about my nicotine habit. I did not plan or expect to quit cigarettes entirely when I started, but here I am :) I would like to reduce my nicotine but I am a person who functions better with a little nicotine than without. So if I never reach zero nic all the time, that is ok with me.

My main goal is staying off tobacco. That's a good goal for me for now :)

I strongly agree. I don't intend to sound weird, but for me vaping is an ideal means for satisfying a very deep-seated love of the effects of nicotine. I admit I'm hooked.

Wow 7 pages of replies - thanks guys! Its been almost 2 months now without an analogue ciggy. I have upgraded my gear (twice) since the post but have hit another wall which I will share in a new thread.
At the end of the day its all a personal thing - from the replies though I would say 95% of you have no plans to quit vaping!
Good luck to whatever you all decide

Was smoking for 29 years at a pack to 1.5 packs a day (even more when I used to drink).
Been vaping for just over a month, and finally cigarette FREE!!!!
Started nic level at 18 but my cheeks would go numb so lowered to 12, and now mix at 10mg.
I can see myself reducing my nicotine even more in the near future as I vape more (finally past the 'dreaded lung purge' stage).
I am enjoying vaping, and now have become a habitual battery charger, juice flavor mixer, and shiny mod hoarder.
Moved from an egos to MVP to mechanical mods, and from tanks with replaceable coils to RBA and RBDAs.
As my lung capacity/ health improved I moved from liking 8.5 watts to liking 16+ watts in my vape.
Currently looking at a DNA30 chip to evolve more.

Bottom line:
I am having a good time with vaping, and feeling better than ever.
It has become not only a method of getting off the 'death sticks' but also another hobby (and I have many).
Do I intend to quit vaping?
Honestly No since I see no reason to do so but if it happens that I lose interest, and move on to something else then so be it.
It will have served it's purpose, and I enjoyed the ride.

I'm almost at twenty days of no analogues. I don't ever intend to start smoking again, and I don't intend to stop vaping (or even go to 0 nic). When I quit cigs before I was prone to crazy mood swings and depression that never got better until I started smoking again, and now vaping (and switching between different nic percentages) helps me regulate that, as well. I mainly vape 12 and 18 mg nic (+wta), but I noticed for the past few days that I was getting more and more depressed, so I filled one tank with just 24 mg nic (+wta), and it evened me out.

Besides, I'm greedy - I don't want to give up all those shiny juices ;D I really don't know why I go wild for trying every different juice when as a smoker I'd mostly find one brand and stick with it for years, but hey. Not gonna complain :)
