Has anyone ordered from Fluid Vaper?

I was wondering if anyone who has ordered from Fluid Vaper finds the shipping cost a bit high? I was going to order some Odysseus V2 Ceramics which are not very expensive. WHen I was going to check out I saw that they only offer one shipping choice; Priority at 6.95. Really? 7.00 for shipping? Even at the post office I think its less than that.

Through PayPal its 5.50 and if you use a shipping service like Stamps.com or USPS its 5.50 also.

Its a shame that we cant order little things like ceramics and end up paying 1/3 of the cost on shipping.

The priority "option" is only a requirement if the order is a certain amount, $200 I think. My most recent order which was less than that was shipped first class mail at $3.11

I'm not really sure how they calculate shipping. My last order from them was $75 for a lot of plastic pieces, springs. etc. My shipping was $10.40.

This was Rob's response to my enquiry on shipping costs...I still don't get it. Whenever I've shipped gear to a buyer it's been a flat rate and weight was never a factor.


"Our shipping costs are automatically calculated by USPS API system. I put the weight and dimensions of the product in the backend of the website and the USPS API automatically calculates shipping on their end. There are limits from USPS for each class of mail, for example: If your order weighs more than 13oz then first class mail is no longer an option and it will automatically step up the mail class. If you see a discrepancy in shipping charges feel free to let me know because more times than not, it's a weight error."

I don't get it either. This certainly wasn't a large purchase size or weight wise. No way it's 13 ounces. I'm not complaining, shipping costs are expensive. But if it's by weight and size I don't get it.

I'm not sure what's going on either so I need to contact them. We waited for Rob to get the Eaterigon. I ordered on the 12th & got a confirmation. On the 15th I got notice that it was being processed. As of the 19th no notice that it has been shipped. 7 days and still not in the mail ?

You should complain. My JustGG 18650 solid mod with battery, extended Ithaka, and juice weighs 8oz. I had an over $200 insured order that cost slightly more than that. And I disagree on shipping costs being expensive. Unless it's FedEx from Greece...BUT, you get it in 2 days!
If I went to the P.O. and shipped the package you have pictured, it would be about $3. Or $6 if I shipped it Priority.

Rob from Fluid just got back to me in regards to your order.
He said you choose priority and insurance which is why the cost was $10.42

He says this is best practice since many users email box spam filters may add his auto responding emails to spam folder.

Ive been contacting and have gone back and forth , always with more and more "questions" I just want to order some Ody V2 ceramics. I got a reply telling me about the weight, size ,etc (BS) I got told that it should show the other shipping , but it still does NOT.

If any item shows not in stock select add to wish list and yo be notify via email when its in stock. make sure your privacy settings are not adding fluids email to spam folder.

Thanks Bish. I'm not necessarily high techno savvy but I'll work on it. You can bet I'll be at the mail place when they open. In my neighborhood you don't leave stuff like this on the porch! Thanks again-tell Rob I'll step up to the search function.

Thanks Bish, I know its in stock, problem is I dont want to spend 7.99 for shipping within the US. Its cheaper to order from E-smoke guru. LOL.
And I do get the emails, just not getting any answers........Just more questions.

Actually his flat rate is $5.60 for priority he cant sell priority cheaper than what it cost in the local post office. You should next time get your facts straight. as for international mail that is more expensive than regular flat rate priority.
