I have just finished reading more than 70 pages.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/clouds-vapor/147098-map-tank-mod.html

From what I can gather MAP stands for (most angry pirate) the person who kinda invented it. I say kinda because there are a few others which are similar and people have been making the tank from syringes. The mini MAP holds about 2.5ml and they increase in size up to approx 10ml if my memory serves me, and they work great on an ego battery. They came available in Dec. and are selling for approx $25 ( if you can get one). They are selling like hot cakes. Just wondering if anyone has tried.

I saw those and was thinking of ordering but it seems like a lot of money for what it is. I picked up some 10ml syringes from Happy vaper and made my own.

They work better then the ce2s alone and are easier to clean. Personally I find it is not really pocketable, or at least the ones I made. I would suspect that the map tank is similar.

I actually got some of these today in the mail, they are similar and cheaper. The V2 is not supposed to leak like the original. I will see I guess when I get home.

Nice job on the mod. Just a couple of questions if you don't mind.

1. Does Happyvapor sell the syringe and grommets? if so what size do you cut it down to, and what is the size of the rings etc.

2. Thanks for posting the link to the V2 Giantomizer which HC is selling. I like the little view window on the side, and HC is a great company to do business with. The only problem would be the life of the CE2. Please let me know if the CE2 can be replaced in the Giantomizer. If not they would become a bit expensive at $6 each, and I would have to have a bash at making one with a syringe. Your right about the USA MAP MOD which would be expensive at $25 and approx $10 postage.

I personally love my map tanks as I find they work great and flavour is better then amazing in my opinion . I use them on a bunch of different devices at different voltages but I really like them on the P18 as they are almost the exact same diameter of it and fit it prefect. I just bought a mega map tank to go with my helix as I think the two will be great for my upcoming drive to Florida with the 4000mah battery and 12ml capacity of liquid. I’ve never found any issues with having my map tanks on devices and throwing them in my pockets at all as they are real sturdy I find. I’ve experienced some flooding and gurgling which I’m pretty sure is caused by the cup & seal getting pushed down when being filled but I always push it up with a pin from the bottom through the centre now after filling and have not had that problem at all since. I usually fill them by just removing the top section so I don’t need to carry a syringe or deal with the plastic needles that bend all the time. I just ordered the Jonboyusmc diy tank and I’m looking forward to trying it out even though I don’t think it’ll be that different but I like that it comes with a top & bottom cap and 2 different centre pieces so you can use it as a mini or regular size tank whenever you want and you supply whatever ohm CE2 you for it.In my opinion In my opinion it has better flavour then any carto out there and I’ve probably tried every carto thats out there and its capacity is great especially if you are like me hate spending time filling and constantly toping off cartomizers. Also to add they are not near as big as they look in pictures

Hey Vapourguy, you're in for a pleasant surprise when you get jon's tank. They are unbelievably strong and while I love my MAP Tanks, these are superior by far. They are quite a bit wider than the MAP (1" wide to be exact) so they should look great on your Helix. The CE2 needs to be hammered into the delrin base because it's such a tight fit. You will be shocked by how sturdy they are made!

Thanks for the link. Gotta get me a couple of those mini jonboy badboys instead of the map tank mod. I believe he is selling them only in DIY kit form for about $30. Assembly does not look too difficult. The machining looks high class. Hope our postal strike does not last too long........if it happens.
