Hey Ive been debating on getting a lavatube in the near future to have as an at-home PV. I use an E-power now and a 3.5ml tank with a Ressurector in it. I love my E-Power and will def still use it, but I will prob use that as my out and about and work PV.
Ive been considering getting the new lavatube bc Id like to have a VV PV that I can play around with at home since some of my juices I like at different voltages. Im only 24 and am paying back my school loans, so I dont have a ton of money to throw around, so I figured the new lavatube might be a good option.
I was wondering it anyone has one and how you like it? I know its a cheaper VV device, and yes I know its not as durable as a Provari, but honestly I dont want a Provari. I dont think I could ever get myself to spend that much on a PV, even if I could easily afford it, plus I think the Provari is kinda girley looking/looks more like an adult toy.

So Im just trying to get an idea of what people think of it, and if you would recommend it to someone else.
And if you dont recommend the LT, why not, and what would you recommend instead?

Any advice/suggestions are much appreciated!
Thanks!

What about an Evo? I've done a lot of research on both the lavatube and the Evo and ordered an Evo, Better price and from the reviews, does what it is supposed to do. Here's a link at one vendor that has it on sale right now.

I've been using a Buzz Pro, but it's been getting some kind of short recently. And I didn't have any kind of VV backup, just my old eGo batteries. Having used a VV device for the past few months, I didn't want to go back to the eGo's.

So last Friday, I stopped by DFWVapor.com (at their store in Lewisville) and bought a Lavatube.

I'm very happy with it so far.

I've been recommending new people who want to start vaping buy an eGo setup. But for the price, I'm likely to start telling them to get a lavatube. You get a lot more for your money.

First off, what do you mean by the old or new version? There is only one version out right now. The second version won't be released until March sometime.

Yes, I have one and HATE it!!! Why? It self regulates. Basically, if you want to vape a Boge 3ohm cartomizer at 6V, it won't let you. It regulates it down to protect itself. That's a big no no in my book. If I want 6V, it needs to stay at 6V. For me, it's a waste of money. I have a couple bodies on order but they are going to be given to a couple of friends that can't afford a high end PV and they don't have internet so they have to go through me. Personally, I don't recommend them to anyone.

If you want a good VV device, in the tubular form factor, get a BuzzPro.

I've had my LT since the week before Christmas, and I really LIKE it. I find I'm not into HV a much as I expected, and usually vape in a range of 3.2V to 4.2V. There are a couple of juices that are very good at 5V, and the LT let's me tune in the flavor I like. I know a few folks who hate the LavaTube and bought a Provari, but I also know a couple of guys that sold their Provari's after getting the LT. Interesting to note, almost every vaper I know with the LT, also has Silver Bullet or Buzz Pro. :)

If you're like me, and only experiment in the higher voltages, you'll love the LT!

I'm using the Lavatube with Kanger cartomizers in a liquinator tank, but I don't know what Ohm rating they are, since the website doesn't say, but based on other websites that sell Kangers, I believe they are 2.0 ohm.

Kanger 510 Cartomizer - 5 Pack

I usually vape with the lavatube set to around 4.6v or 4.7v, and that works fine. I haven't tried to see how high it'll go. Lets run a test. I set it to 4.5, then when up 0.5 volts at a time. Got up to 6.0, and it's still hitting. Too hot for me. I didn't really like anything it did over 5.0. But it worked without dropping the voltage.

I def agree with ya and that's why I didnt buy one already. The new one has a 3.5amp limit so it will run at the higher voltages that the current one will not. That's really what is making me consider getting one bc that takes care of the main reason people don't like it since it does the automatic drop in voltage. The new one also will allow you to test the resistance of yOur too, like the Provari does, but honestly I could care less about that. I'm more interested in it now more than I was before bc of the 3.5amp limit.

I do like the BuzzPro though.. Hmm decisions decisions

Thanks everyone for the advice!

As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for.

I've dropped my IPro numerous times, and even accidentally rolled over it with my van. Aside from a couple of minor scratches, it still works perfectly.

I did strip out the delrin bottom cap threads. Had the replacement part in my mailbox from Notcigs in 2 days.
