Has Bobas taste changed?

Well, I don't actually remember it, but some REALLY good things were born out of that year! As far as Boba's goes, the saddest part is the temptation to try another bottle to see if it's right -- but that money hurts even more than the liquid when it goes down the drain!

Wow, what is going on here????? BB's was my very first ADV, but since my latest order of a 100ml bottle and I can't stand this stuff anymore :-( I wish I could explain what happened, but it just doesn't taste right. It tastes like plastic, I just don't know how to explain it differently - it's almost like one or two of the original ingredients are missing :-(

Please fix it AV, please - I want my Boba's Bounty back!

Well I just got a replacement bottle for the last 30 mils of Bobas and it has no flavor either. Seriously bummed. Wonder if they'd trade it for flue cured?

After vaping Boba's pretty much exclusively for a over a year, I (painfully) agree that my latest batch of Boba's seems slightly different, both in viscosity (seems thinner) and taste, its not unpleasant, just different (not a fan of change...lol).

Would be nice if Wookie could confirm if something has actually changed or we've all just lost our minds.

Yes, we've ALL lost our minds! LOL. There will likely be a some people that come in and say "nothing is different; it's still Boba's," but my palate (and apparently a lot of others) says differently.

I thought this too, however, it's still not the same. I was checking my bottles last night, and it's amazing how much thinner the juice is than previous bottles I've had from them.

Where did that wonderful sweetness go? I used to be able to just sit there and whiff on the bottle, now I try not to smell it. It's all a moot point for me since I gave away a 50 mL. Yes. I did. When I say it's over for me and that liquid, it's over. But it's cool comparing notes if anyone wonders why I even bother posting about it. Some hardware I used to love I will continue talking about even though it now sucks to me. No disrespect to eh owners though --- it's just how the ecig game goes.

Yeah. Definitely not the same but vapable. And your right about the thin as water part. There's obviously something wrong. I wonder why they don't address it? I know they told me I could send my bottles back but that's not the point. The point is I want the same product as before.

That's the million dollar question-- it was that sweetness that had me going through bottle after bottle of this stuff. A friend and I had a long standing joke going between us-- every time one of us was doing Bobas, we'd text the other with a simple message that read, "Bobas Bounty!!". Those texts don't happen no more. He says he's not buying anymore, not even caring if they do fix it. He got burned on two 100ml bottles so his anger is understandable.

Btw, 1977 was a really bad year for Elvis.

Yeah why bother wasting the money for shipping it back when you're just going to get the same quality product, if not worse?

Well I got a response from AVE. They said it tasted fine. I'm way sad. All my other juices taste fine. Hope my buds aint dyin on me.

Yep I can't believe I am back here on this thread again after reporting good luck with my initial bottles. I ordered 300 ml from 4th of july and each bottle tasted slightly different. 1st bottle was vapable and had some nuance of sweetness, the 2nd bottle was painful. almost no flavor at all. Last bottle is somewhere in between 1st and 2nd bottle.

I was fortunate enough to vape the original recipe (or unfortunate since I cannot seem to get that same taste again). I remember in those days that Boba's would sell out lightning fast because they could only produce so much due to a "small mom and pop shop could only produce so much flavoring at a time". Since Boba's is plentiful these days this leads me to believe a handful of possibilities.

The small mom and pop shop expanded their mfg'ing capacity and lost some quality during the process or AVE found a different supplier of the flavoring all together and it is just not the same stuff the original boba's was. Either way I am glad I had a chance to try the old stuff but I am still trying to figure out what to do for a ADV. This inconsistency is real frustrating.

Ben has been in the forums a few times saying that it is the same as it always has been but I humbly disagree. I too detect that rubbery/plasticy flavor along with all 8 of my other vapor buddies who vape boba's. Anyone remember that Star Trek TNG episode where Capt. Piccard was taken prisoner and was constantly asked how many lights he saw? there were really only 2 lights but he was tortured unless he said there were 3. He finally got to the point where he started believing there were 3 lights. Reminds me of that.

I love my wife. She said honey, I got 40 mils of boba's you got me. do you want it? Well hell yes! oh and it has flavor and boba's nummyness. I'm good for a week! or more yay me. 1.7 ohm dripper pro at 4.4 volts oooooh damn this tastes good.

BB's was the juice that single handedly (in a Kayfun) got me off the stinkies. Once I had a feeling this was it, I decided to buy a 120ml bottle and it tasted like, well, let me be nice here, nothing like the original.

I was assured by customer support that neither recipe, nor ingredients have changed. After a few months of trying out other juices I finally couldn't take it anymore and decided to try another 30 ml. I'll let you guys know once it arrives.....

Its not the same. They'll never admit it. Gorilla Juice is somewhat vapable but I have 3 bottles of Boba's that are junk. Very disappointing but time to move on.
