I just started vaping last week and bought what I thought was a big assortment of prefilled cartomizers with my first order. At the same time I bought some juice from a vendor that looked awesome. I didn't pay attention to the fact that the vendor was behind on shipping out juice because of the holidays. A few days later I had gone through almost all of my prefilled carts, my juice hadn't been shipped yet and was surfing around frantically ordering juice from several places hoping one would ship quickly. Then, I joined my dog watching out the big front window waiting for the postman to come. I had to go back to analogs for a day (after burning most the carts I had trying to get as much as I could...doh) and it was kind of gross/smelly but it was only a day and I lived!
Now I've got a bunch of juice and have more on the way! Never again. But I'm betting (and glad to see) I'm not the only noob to underestimate how much juice and carts are needed at first. Stock. Pile.

Hey Traver a PT for the car?? I'm new into all this but didn't think the amperage in the car lighter would be enough to power a PT...what equipment do you have? I'd LOVE one for my truck...

Thanks to the others for the tips on the suppliers sale too. Hadn't discovered that yet. Just placed my 2nd order with Freedom today and picked up 2x10 from a local shop plus about 5m left from my first order and the 6 samples that came with my kit. Oh poo, and I have about another 5x5m samples coming from another spot. I think I'll be set for a while now :)

There is a separate pt for the KR808 and a usb cord for the ego that plugs into the back. The ego will also charge while vaping. A cigarette light has plenty of power for a pt.

Connectors : Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce

You also need a cigarette lighter to usb adapter. I think you can get that at walmart. just make sure it will handle 2 amps.

Yep....EVERYONE needs this ...as their minimum.
Now...all I need is a generator.:thumb:

As I was reading all the posts thinking how i'm all set also with atty's batteries and plenty of juice, I realized I'm totally out of luck if I lose electricity! It happens a lot here in NH, two years ago we lost it for 11 days in the middle of winter. I better go order the car charger I didn't think I'd need!

And this thread is amazing. It's called "Deals and Steals" thread so post in it once so you can find it easily again. Just go to "What's New" at the tab at the top- then "My Posts" and the "Deals + steals" thread is always on the first page cus it's updated constantly. I've gotten great sales deals from that thread:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/pay-forward-pif/85781-deals-steals.html

Just go to last page in the 100 page thread to view the most recent sales:)

I have that one in my "subscribed threads". And it never fails, I swear I'm not going to buy anything else for a while, then look out - another sale! I probably have enough juice for at least 2 months!

I found a cigarette lighter adapter for my motorcycle this summer, originally intended for recharging my ebook reader while camping. Now I'm thrilled because it can also be used (with the USB adapter) for charging my ecig batteries! Not sure if I want to try the passthru while riding, I'll probably stick to my KR808 in a lanyard. :thumb:

9v battery works as a temp PS, just don't do long burns. May the modders would have a quick alkaline battery setup that works better for temporary power outages.

This has happened to me I only buy my juice from one company and their shipments were being stopped by the FDA so there wasn't much of a selection to choose from I stared getting worried I'd run out of juice I have a 30ml bottle of cotton candy that I'll only use in case of emergency because I don't care for the flavor. Now that the company I buy from has liquid back I'll be sure and get a mother load so this doesn't happen again.

I have not had this happen yet, but ive already taken steps so this never does happen. Basically put aside 1 oz of juice i didnt like all that much out of the first order i placed. Basically an "If all else fails" supply. lol. Plus i keep a pack of pre filled green world carts in reserve to back that up. So hopefully ill never be in an "All out" position.

LOL. I got down about that low, had juice on order with time to go. I went and bought some VG along with some Espresso flavoring, took it home and added it to what little juice I had left. It was watered down nic but it vaped and kept me from buying a pack of cigarettes. After smoking 40 years and finding Ecigs I wasn't about to go back to buying and smoking Tcigs.

VG and flavorings can be bought where you find cake making supplies. Also check with a pharmacist of PG / VG as I read that tip awhile back.

PS - I now have the "starter supplies" for DIY. I just need to order the flavorings. I have PG, VG, unflavored 36mg nic, syringes, pipettes and small bottles. I am headed off to LorAnn and other sites to research flavorings. So far, I got my supplies from JuicyJuice except for the nic juice - that I got from Totally Wicked. Am going to research PG and VG in quantity (I used to make soap and know these types of things can be ordered in bulk).

Would love any tips from others on where to get good Tobacco juice for DIY.

1st time I am out of juice, have to wait for a week for my juice arrive. My favorites is VG (pure VG) Dunhil 18mg or 21mg if anybody use this flavor and know the best place to get it, please let me know. I won't let this happen again, my emergency juice is ok not that great. I remember last time I forgot my ecig kit at home while am at work, I drove back and get it. One time I lock my key in the car, I call my gf bring the key to me at work, that mess up but it true lol.
