Has vaping lost its way? If someone could define what "its way" is or was, I would find that helpful.
If helping to stop cigarettes is "its way" then I would answer, "No vaping has not lost its way". People come here, some stop and some do not. It has been that way since I joined.

Okay, I'm kind of done with this. You put words in everyone's mouth, deny making arguments or even like, drawing conclusions from your statements as typically when arguing there will be predicate axioms that are involved, so even though you may not directly "saying something" it can be implied.

I also truly genuinely do not understand why you think all new vapers are steered toward MTL. There have been MANY new vapers show up in the time I've been here who started DL who LOVED DL, and no one ever dissuaded them from anything.

I think it's a bit nutty to claim that new vapers are being PUSHED to MTL when the ONLY time it usually comes up is if someone literally KNOWS NOTHING about either category, in which both types of vaping are explained. Similarly a new vaper having a HARD TIME with DL may receive the suggestion to try MTL especially if the problems they seem to be having are related to the volume of vaper involved.

I would like to see a multi quite from YOU, collecting all the "pushing MTL vape" in the past year excluding those two criteria. Because unless you can PROVE it, I'm done listening to the ranting. Go ahead and show your work, buddy. Because what you are saying is for the most part false, and I'm done with the whining and complaining I did not say that.

IF you believe there is a secret mafia group of MTL "pushers" out there, well PROVE IT.

If anything, new vape stores DO push DL equipment, it costs more, consumes more juice and batteries and etc.

BUT show some posts where the mafia like, DEMANDED posters try MTL if they were already happy with their subohm vapes or ONLY MTL was recommended to a new vaper, and not just by ONE poster, but by the entire thread, all going, "MTL!! MTL!!!" Similar to a scene in the movie "Freaks."

I have never one time attempted to tell a new and happy vaper who was DL it up to knock it off and go to MTL because it's "more like smoking."

Happy, well I leave it alone.

But seriously, I am getting nowhere with you, so I'd like to see axiomatic proof of your claims via links to threads where a happy new DL vaper is told by the community the MUST go to MTL and/or threads where unless the vaper was already in search of their style of vaping and ONLY MTL as an option was explained. And not a rogue poster here and there, THE ENTIRE THREAD.

It just doesn't happen. Routinely claiming a falsehood endears you to absolutely NO ONE.

Anna
Your false accusation that I have been putting words in everyones' mouths is why I am putting you on ignore instead of am going to read the rest of your retort.

I’m kinda lost for words..... Does it really matter on how you vape as long as your not smoking tobacco? There is so much more to life than MTL or DL. Enjoy your Saturday folks, it’s a beautiful day:)
I don't think anyone here cares how any experienced vaper chooses to vape.

The question that was originally posed was whether vendors and shops have lost the focus of getting smokers to switch and are now mostly catering to experienced vapers?

I tend to agree that they did, at least for a while, and almost complete lack of new MTL gear on the market was part of the problem. However, the pendulum on that has started swinging back.

If I pretend I hadn't switched to vaping back in 2013 and was still smoking, and picture myself waking into a vape shop and being handed some 100W, high-airflow rig with 3 or even 6 mg juice in it, and was told I had to fill my lungs with vapor in order for it to be effective, I don't think I'd even try it.

Off topic, but in my State of Ohio adults can legally purchase fireworks, but shooting them off in Ohio is legally forbidden. Of course, in reality Ohio residents buy fireworks in Ohio and set them off in Ohio. It's just another example of stupid politicians trying to quiet a certain segment of voters because negligent adults allowed their children to set off fireworks and they blew off a finger because of their lack of supervision. Rationale: Ban setting off fireworks statewide to save the children, (but its ok to sell them).

Just because your speedometer goes to 200mph doesn't mean you have to drive at 200mph.

If I was handed a 2000w rig it wouldn't matter, as long as it had TC that worked and TC coils it would work better for me. MTL or DTL wouldn't be an issue, I can pick that for myself, as long as it's TC the mod makes the adjustments to make the power to the coil suit the airflow.

The low mg was/is a problem. Not explaining how to use the equipment is a big problem.

Yes, vaping lost its way ... I found it early this morning, wandering aimlessly, battered and confused at a nearby park, it whispered softly "I just wanted to help people ... ", and then gasped and died. All resuscitation efforts failed --- of course I only tried MTL resuscitation, if only a DTL vaper had been there ... sigh.

Sure, if it's a regulated mod, you can turn it down. That's why I said, "rig", not "mod", because "rig" includes the atty and whatever coils & wicking are in that atty. Trouble is that a rig that produces a satisfying vape at 100 watts for the folks who are into that kind of vape is not going to produce a satisfying vape at 10 watts for someone who just wants to puff on it like a cigarette.

Trouble is starting newbs out on super sub-Ω mechs pushing the limits. That's a store issue and has been an issue since there have been RDAs.
