hello fellow vapelandians! Quick question.

Im getting my first genny today (AGA T+) and will try to build my first wick/coil with the stuff that comes with it. Im not sure what gauge wire it comes with but assuming im using say 500 ss and 32 awg wire how many wraps would i need for a 1.8-2.0 ohm atty?

this is the only thing I'm a bit confused on because when i watch videos no one ever seems to talk about how they came up with the length of the wire

From my experience, the wire that comes with the AGA-T+ is 32 awg, so probably 5 to 6 (or maybe even 7 wraps) will yield anywhere in that range. But of course, that's also influenced by the width of your wick. So, although we can approximate since wick width, how many times you wrap the wires around the positive and negative posts will also determine, to some extent, the ohms you get. I say experiment by looking at a chart and seeing what the ohms/feet is for the wire, then cut the wire to the length, giving some room that you are probably going to cut some off after you put the coil into the device, and see how many wraps you can make out of that length.

Here's some info on resistance:

Wire Gauge- 28 AWG Resistance- 5.6 ohm/ft 16.8 ohm/m.

Wire Gauge- 30 AWG Resistance- 8.3 ohm/ft 24.9 ohm/m.

Wire Gauge- 32 AWG Resistance- 14.53 ohm/ft 43.6 ohm/m.

Wire Gauge- 34 AWG Resistance- 26.7 ohm/ft 80.3 ohm/m.

IE: 32 awg is about 1.21 ohms/inch. Cut about 3 inches (3 x 1.21 = 3.63). Most likely you'll lop off about 1/2 to 1 inch of wire. So, your end result may be 2 x 1.21 = 2.42 or thereabouts. This is all theoretical, so real world tests do and will vary. Make sure you cut more wire than you'll need as that'll give you room for mistakes. Also, you may check RTD Mods for 100ft spools for real cheap, or even check ebay for 100ft spools for insanely low prices. 100ft is more than you'll ever need, unless you're like me who rebuilds coils just for the sake of rebuilding. But I have 2 100ft kanthal, one 33 awg and 1 32 awg, and it seems like the spool is neverending.

I hope this helps!

Well, I just heard about this new PV coming after the Chinese holidays: Innokin iTaste SVD, Best Tube Style Variable Wattage E-Cigarette - Best Electronic Cigarette | E Cigarette Manufacturer| Innokin

I swear, when I think I like one mod, there's something new coming out. Now, I have to weight this vs the tzmax. I must have patience. I must have patience.

I feel your pain, im in the market for a new pv myself and the options at this point are pretty crazy. I think I have finally made my choice, but im still debating because there is no solid info on when I will be able to pick up the one I really want, and there are about 4 others calling out to me. Im probably going to hold out for that one, but it wont be easy to do.

I really like the looks of both of those too....So I will be doing the same weighing, unless of course I can manage to talk Ogre out of both of them. It's possible. I do have the b:D:Dbies.

It's a good thing they're not out yet, or I'd be in the red financially. :D

Me, too. I prefer the look of the tzmax, but Innokin stuff seems to cost less overall. But both look really nice.

Wow, love the look of that! *shakes the change jar* I need to feed more coinage to this thing.

You still have some time. So, keep putting coins into that jar :).

You're welcome.

Roomy just got the iatty in last night! It is beautiful. Took a couple days off work just to celebrate!!! Now, it's rebuild day! 6 RBA's have been neglected, time to get out the wire.

I have a clone of that. Works nicely, but what I don't like about it is that you can't put your own drip tip on it. I want the AC9, or the Cobra, but need to save up.

I have boobies, and they don't get me anything :( I think it has to do with POP, as Maurice (Mom's fiance) calls it.

Hey Giant, I'm really thinking about selling off one of my provaris, and getting a GGTS for my ody. But their products seem really confusing to me. What is the difference between a GGTS and a GGTB? I've been looking for the GGTS in the classifieds, and notice that some of them don't have that air control valve on the top. Is that air control valve called anything special? Why don't they all have them?

Heya brother. The GGTB isn't telescoping. It has a telescoping false battery inside it (though most on the classifieds are missing this part). The GGTS comes standard with the collector tank/air flow control on the top, but older ones, and ones built from parts don't necessarily have it. They either have a 4 in 1 cap or a stealth cap. You can turn a GG Stealth into a GGTS by getting a telescope tube and a top tube in addition to the stealth. It's not a true GGTS, though.

If you do buy one, try to get one with brass internals, especially if you want to use it with a kick at some point.

Hi Tech Wizards and Sorcerers!

I'm starting a get the Monkey an AC9 (or Cobra) fund. In about 2 weeks I'm probably going to start selling off my 3 AGA-Ts (the old ones with the screw on caps), 1 AGA (stainless steel tank, I think, or maybe brass coated with ss), and one DID clone (I think it's known by different names, one being the Vulcan. Discount Vapers has it). I'll post pictures later on.

I'm thinking of giving you people here a chance at them before I post them on the classies. So, if you'd want one, or all of them, PM me. I'll let you know what I want for it/them via PM only.

And now, back to your regular scheduled programming. Thank you for reading.
