Have a Provari, do I need a Reo too?

First off, I'm not going to say that my Provari is the best thing since sliced bread. You can look at my sig and see I have had a lot of nice stuff.

I currently vape a KFL+ on a Provari mini. I'm always looking for the best mod for ME.

Being subjective, why would a Reo be better than the above combination? Or would it complement my current (i.e. should I own both) combo?

You can own both, like many of us here have, but after a short while, one of them will be gathering dust or posted in the Classies.

IN a nutshell, REO's are just more reliable, durable, and a better vape experience! :vapor:

I have Provaris but no REOs. I wouldn't say they're better or worse, they are different. The REOs claim to fame is it's ability to keep an atomizer or dripper atty continuously juiced without the hassle of dripping. A Provari doesn't do that nor is it made to.

I wouldn't see the point of using a tank on a REO, but I guess you could. Again, not what it's for.

I understand the concept of the Reo. I was just trying to figure out whether the integrated feed system is better than a tube mod + RBA.

I have 2 Provari's. Then i bought a REO. I tried out the REO......bought 5 more and haven't touched the Provari's since. The vape doesn't even compare. (My opinion). I will be selling my Provari's soon as i have no need or use for them.

With that being said, which Reo is the most popular? Even though I like VV, it's not a necessity. I have no issues building my own coils and going completely mechanical.

Had a provari loved it, I have tried KF and Genesis but I loved dripping. I dripped for awhile and finally decided to try a reo and never looked back. I have a DB Modz dna30 special edition coming soon and I plan on selling it the moment it comes in to fund a woodvil reo. If your happy with a KFL then no need for a reo. However if you best vape comes from dripping then buy a reo.

First off.... Chive on!

Now that's out of the way.... I just purchased my first REO and was on the fence about whether to purchase it or a Provari. I had gotten real comfortable with my MVP2 and SID - both variable voltage/wattage - and my Kayfuns. So, I seriously started to consider the Provari just simply because I was very hesitant on leaving the vv/vw and going to a mechanical. I thought I would miss it...

I've only had my REO Grand for a couple of days now, but I can say without a doubt, it is the best vape I've had since I started. I paired mine with a reomizer, wrapped a 1.3 ohm microcoil with a cotton wick and I cannot get over how good the vape is. Just last night I unscrewed my Kayfuns, washed them out and put them, along with my SID & MVP2, in the bottom drawer.

Simply put - the REO offers hassle free vape, with the flavor of dripping, without the worry of breaking a tank or the mod itself. Obviously I don't speak for everyone, but the REO - for me - is the perfect mod.

in the end a pro vari is just a power source ok...now its a very consistent power source thats true...and its a well made tube and i think its worth the money

however

a Reo gives you a unique experience ....mainly because of the bottom fed system...its dripping without dripping

if you also get an RM2, the only hassle you will have is changing the wicks every other day...and building a coil once every 2-3 weeks...

even the grande is small and compact its kind of all self contained...imagine leaving the house with just the box...thats it...nothing else...i have a backup here at work but ive used it only once when i forgot to put in a fresh battery

I'm pretty sure people have the obvious covered here.

Allow me to add another subjective opinion:

- The Provari looks like a dildo.

- The Reo Grand does not look like a dildo.

As "high brow" as that statements seems, I'm actually being kind of serious. LOL

My work environment is "not safe for work" 24/7, and people will bust each others balls till we all pass out. Anything goes, quite literally. When I was walking into sessions with a Vamo or tube mech, I never heard the end of it. (what it looks like) The Provari nails "that look" 10x compared to other tube mods.

So there's that....:D

With my Provari, what I do for convenience to make it like a Reo is a get a drinking glass and fill it halfway up with e juice. Then, when it's time to drip, I just dunk my Igo in it. You don't wanna go to far and get juice in the battery connection. Then, I just wipe off the outside of the Igo and I'm ready to go. Just kidding. I love my Provari, but the Reo is in a class of it's own.

People used to actually do this with 306 atties. "Dipping" not "Dripping."

How much vape time do you get off a Reo? I've noticed most Provari buyers get the little 800Mah.

It depends on your vaping habits.

The Reo is a mechanical mod. It doesn't posses magical battery runtime extension capabilities.

The Reo Grand uses 18650 batteries, and is still clockin' in the same height as a Provari Mini running an 18350. (much shorter when you factor in toppers)

Pretty sure a 2500mAh 18650 Sony VTC5 will outlast an 800mAh 18350 Efest.

Cheers

A few things not already covered.
Get a metal Reo Grand,

Get the LP version so you can run any RBA on it.

I run ceramic wicks so my coils and wicks last a month, would last longer but I just have to play with my jig.

They are rock solid and anything that could go wrong is easily fixed. Who else offers a complete rebuild kit and it's only $25.

I've dropped a Reo in a cup coffee, took it to the sink gave it a bath with hot water, Dawn and tooth brush. Dried off and kept vaping. There's also pic of Reo that took a dive off a bike doing 45 mph, it has some road rash but vapes great.

I have a few Provari's and a handful of Reo's. I like them both for different reasons - Provari for the 'options' of toppers that can be used; Reo for a true on-the-go dripping experience with regular 306/510 atomizers.

I'm thinking of selling the Provari's and picking up a lp (low profile) Reo which allows Provari-like tank tinkering when needed.

The VV Reo is about the only one (and a full sized Woodvil) I don't have. As tempting as it is to complete the collection, I'm getting away from VV/VW devices and going mechanical Reo with low res atomizers.

Both are great, dependable devices.

The REO grand is not only extremely durable, it's also very compact and pockets well.

The fact that it throws down fresh squozen juice on demand put it over the top.

Throw in that you can run the best bottom fed RBAs and your juice is safe inside the mod (rather than on top if it or in your pocket) and it's game over.

And yes, they are cool as hell looking and don't get confused with dildos or sonic care tooth brushes.

Check these bad AYuss metal ones out :

And here's some builds I throw down :)
