You know, the ProVari folks are a lot nicer when someone uses a REO. just sayin.....
I wasn't a box mod person up front, but I'm a dripper and that meant I had to give the REO a try. I'm happy with both.
I have to agree with you WhiteHighlights, I don't think we should bash anyones choice of vape gear, that it is not cigarettes is all that really matters. People find a niche they are comfortable in, that is good, disparaging remarks about someone else's little niche is not good. Lets all vape deeply and be happy :D

So sorry to hear about the TN, I hope your meds can get you to a better quality of life.

You guys! Now you're making me feel uncomfortable sharing my experience! But here it is anyways...

I've had a vv twist that made me try a provari. I ended up having 4 provaris at one point with a total of about 8 or 9, with the others selling for accessories(tanks and such) and given to friends. The provari is very high quality and well built. The limitation is on the tank. I used to be tied to my protanks with stock coil but was never happy. It wasn't the provari's fault, it was the tank. Modified my protank bases, recoiled my own heads, wicked with cotton and it was night and day. I was happy! Then the battle was convenience. Re-filling juice, carrying a backup coil, and worst was cleaning and recoiling/rewicking the coils. It seems like I was never contented.

Then I tried a reo grand. With help of super_x, jifjif, mundy, jc, redeye and a lot more people, I am content so far with what I have. But never thought I'd get it from a mechanical. Right now I am eyeing a vv reo to try-I know this sounds like I am still looking after saying I found contentment, but it is just to look for something better that I MIGHT be missing out on. What I focus on is the fact that I "switched". From provari/tanks to reo grand. If I ended up liking the VV reo, I'd have it talk crap to my grand! LOL!

THIS! This is the exact post I've been looking for for months! I was sick of the ego, moved to a mechanical with a protank. Bought the airflow controller, a stainless top, better heads etc. Still felt weak. I knew I didn't want a genny tank, way too complicated, I didn't mind RDAs but had zero interest in the whole annoying dripping process! Thank you for validating EXACTLY how I feel. Haven't bought my grand yet but I feel even better now! Thanks!

Please don't feel uncomfortable sharing your experience. You identified what you've tried, what you're looking for and why you want it. That's extremely helpful to others and is what makes this forum so great. BTW - I don't miss tanks either, I found the taste muted compared to dripping. This morning I just took a post wrong coz I'm grumpy. We're all set now.

I tried out the REO......bought 5 more and haven't touched the Provari's since.

I got my first REO two days ago and love it to bits... I finally get what everyone has been on about. My question is why do you need 5 REO's? It it just collectible or do you use them all?

Now I just need to get a Woodvil!

Yes i use them all different coil types and different flavors. Do I want a cloud chasing dual right now with high nic or mellow single. Easy just pickup a different mod.

I have 6.
Copper Vein for my all day vape.
Silver Vein I have a friend using it right now.
Hammer Tone what ever I'm vaping at work.
VV I don't have the bottle or tube but it's on it's way.
Maple Burl Woodvil I haven't used yet.
Black Palm Woodvil I haven't used yet.
The Woodvils are waiting for the sub ohm kit to drop and get brass RM2 with that order and a bunch of other goodies in one shipment. I'm cheap like that. I do know that the sub ohm kit isn't for the Woodvils but it will go good with my #7 Reo. LP TRA Grand. I'll get a brass RM2 for the Black Palm but I might not use it because it's the highest number BP so it could be the last one Rob ever makes. So they are collectable and I use them all.

I vape the same juice and nearly identical builds in all of mine.

I still have more than a few. I do have a several that I use more around the house /car / shopping expeditions cause I try to minimize their exposure to damaging environments and a couple that are ready to take on any challenge.

For me it's more the peace of mind knowing I have backups of backups, a few well deserved high end ones and a little about collecting too :)

You just answered your own question. you got your first REO two days ago, and in the second sentence you said you needed to get a Woodvil. You'll see.....it probably won't stop there.

lol I don't know if it is or not. I'm just thinking that when I was not sure I'd found exactly what I was looking for I was still looking. Ever since I got the Reo I haven't thought something else might be better. I'm not a fan girl or anything. But when something works it just works. I still find new gear interesting though. I just don't think it's going to improve my vape any.

For me it's hard to say whether someone who uses a Provari should get a Reo. If they like the topper they're using a lot and that topper is tank style then I'm sure the Provari would be the best unit to use with it. But I've tried cartos, clearos, rbas, & drippers & know what to expect from each. Since the dripper is my favorite the Reo just seems like the most obvious choice.

First off, I'm not going to say that my Provari is the best thing since sliced bread. You can look at my sig and see I have had a lot of nice stuff.

I currently vape a KFL+ on a Provari mini. I'm always looking for the best mod for ME.

Being subjective, why would a Reo be better than the above combination? Or would it complement my current (i.e. should I own both) combo?

I own both and to me, the REO/RM2 isn't better.. just different. They both deliver outstanding vapes. With the provari/kayfun combo.. I like the regulated voltage and not having to keep squonking if I don't want to. The Reo/rm2 gives a bit better flavor and it's easy to get to the coil if adjustments are needed. It's also much easier and faster to rewick than a kayfun. I run a .9Ω coil in it and get a great vape for hours, pretty much the same satisfying vape time that I get with a provari using an 18490 batt.

You sir are leading me down the path of busting out some Sophie Tucker jokes - which would only get me suspended.
Like Jackie Gleason said in the original "Smokey and the Bandit":
"Oh.......you can THINK about it......but DOOOOOOOOOOOOOON'T do it....!!":D
Happy (vaping) Trails!

I asked this question when I had had the REO for 24 hours... now I get it and your answer confirms it...I need more! :p

Hehehe and now a few days later I get it even more! My electronic mods are not happy... they think (and are probably right) they are going to be given away to convert stinkies... ;-)
